The Lyrics

I know a girl and..her name is Delilah
She reddens my skin, outside
With tickles and teases,
Sweet pleasure, she pleases,
It stretches my smile, big and wide
If I was bold, I would hold her and kiss her,
But I'm too shy, doncha' see..
Someday we'll do it, the naughty connection
Delilah, the hammock, and me

We're both in the fourth grade at Grant element'ry
I save pennies in a jar
We meet at the bus stop
I give her a gumdrop,
She looks like a movie star..
Sometimes, could hug her,
Sometimes I could slug her,
Sometimes we both climb a tree..
Someday we'll do it, the naughty connection
Delilah, the hammock, and me

Both of us study and spell,
We love all our school days of magic..

I work her 'rithmetic, she helps me with hist'ry
Each recess, we're playing a game
On Sundays, I bike her, cuz' I really like her,
And kinda' think that she feels the same..
I pull her blonde hair, not hard, just a little
She buzzes my ear like a bee..
Someday we'll do it, the naughty connection
Delilah, the hammock, and me

Someday we'll do it, the naughty connection
Delilah, the hammock, and me

La, la la, La, la la la, La Laa, la la, La, La la laaaaaaa

The OS made me sad, but the way you wrote it sounded very hilarious. Yeah, I can imagine Kermit singing that kind of song to Miss Piggy! Very touching parody, AFW! Here's 3 connections of 5's for ya!

. . . just as they say, Sir L'Air de Farce, " blow in their ear, and they'll follow you anywhere . .

Thanks, everyone....

Ahh, that Susie! Love throwing slushballs at her! But this icky stuff.... Hobbes says I'll understand when I'm older, but ... yuck! "Sometimes I could slug her," ok, I never paid attention in math, but for that line, whatever the highest vote is, you get it.

You had no way of knowing, but you've touched a very heartfelt memory here... vacationing on a tropical island with someone very special, swinging gently in a hammock in the evening breezes, and .... our first time. Getting a little teary-eyed here. Must be that androgynous quality Mark Scotti described. 555

I loved this. The nostalgic feelings you captured were moving (no...that wasn't me Tommy)
I did one to this OS once although I took a slightly different tack (and...to this very day I am ashamed to say I forgot to include the bridge) it's a fun song.

IB: I know -- she wasn't invisible, and she was a girl -- but were you standing there, invisibly watching? Shame on you, voyeur!... kinda surprised no one's done this as a gay theme, or have they already? Connection obvious. (TT DKTOS, so won't do it.)
