The Lyrics

During hunting season, here in Michigan, and I'm sure in other places, certain low-life people sneak onto private property and hunt wild game, much to the chagrin of the landowner and the law enforcement community. We call them "slobs", because they continue to ignore the law and tresspass any way they deem fit. It's a real big issue with landowners.
Somewhere over your fencerow, land too fine
It's a place that I'm hunting, all 'cuz it is yours, not mine
Somewhere over your fencerow, folks are blue
Cuz laws meant to protect us
Apply not to me, but you

Some day I'll go to some new spot
And know the DNR is far behind me
Away where rules don't exist
Where owners can only shake their fist
And you'll never find me

Somewhere over your fencerow hunt'n is free
Hang my stand over your fencerow
Cuz permission comes from me
If lazy owners just stay'd home
My oh my it's free!
