The Lyrics
Only the first part of the song is actually about Ohm's Law, and the simple version of the law applies only to linear components--not, for example, to semiconductors. I kept thinking, and happily (or sadly, depending on your opinion(s)), the parody lyrics kept coming.

Voltage equals current times resistance,
And we shall ignore complex impedance,
And I should say that linear's the dance.

DC-to-AC inverters are available in at least some tractor supply stores and in at least some auto parts stores.

Ohm my god....resistance is futile (for at least an hour anyway)
I, too, have heard that resistance is futile, but I wonder whether the Borg get out a thesaurus when capacitance or inductance comes up in conversation.
