Parody Song Title:

"Green Czar"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

President Obama knows how to pick them. Van Jones, his Green Czar, was lauded in Time Magazine's "2009 Time 100" as a hero and icon. What has been hidden is that Jones is a self-proclaimed communist and black nationalist. I guess Obama couldn't get Bill Ayres for his Education Czar and Reverend Jeremiah Wright to serve as his Faith-Based Czar. Oh well...maybe we'll still see former President Jimmy Carter as Ambassador to Israel. ;D

White House - all the czars are high-riding
Press Rooms - with Obama they're siding
Green Czar - what's that secret they're hiding

There's a guy Van Jones and he weilds his fist
'Cause he's the Green Czar
He's a militant self-proclaimed communist
But he's the Green Czar
These are facts the President could not have missed
About his Green Czar

That's par - for this administration
Horrid - choice to make for the nation
They'd want - Ayres to run education

There's a sixty billion line but nobody can define
What is a Green Job?
It's a giant bitter taste of big governmental waste
What is a Green Job?
And Barack won't be denied as he takes us for a ride
What is Green Job?

Van Jones - flaunts his past without sorrow
The Prez - this time he's gone too far-o
Green Czar - green today, "red" tomorrow

Green Czar!
If this isn't frightening enough, check out Obama's Science Czar John Holdren. His views may be too repulsive even for me to write a parody.

Not really all that funny is it? Well-crafted and thought-provoking, as usual.

Scratch an "environmentalist" (as opposed to those in favor of preserving the environment, like this writer) and you'll find a socialist. In case anyone doubts OMR, quote from Jones himself:

"I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.' I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary. I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th. By August, I was a communist."

TT said during the campaign that BO was a socialist - heck, BO went to the meetings and never disavowed it -- and caught a lot of flak from AmILeft, notably Agrimorfee and Michael Pacholek. Strange, most of the Lefties aren't responding here ... cat got their tongues?

555, and as one who entered this site when it was extremely Left-slanted, it's refreshing to see it take a turn back toward a more balanced POV. Good job.

Well written, Ribber. I think the "green" is for the guy that will take our money (green) and use it for projects that will cost more than what we now use.

President Obama is definitely providing parodists (and other political humorists) a lot of material with his czar collection. This parody is well done, particularly the colorful ending!

Speaking of the czar collection that JJ mentioned, my ancestors crammed into the hold of a steamship to escape Czars, Tsars, and other misspellings of Caesar. They're spinning in their graves to know that their great-grandson will be again living under the Czars.

Thanks for the heads up on this, OMR. The parody is great (some tweaking of the meter needed I think) but it's also one of my favorite oldies, one I would have put on my list to parody if I ever get the time. It didn't pop into my head when I decided to do a Czars parody. Wish it had. I have another in mind so we'll see if I do another or not.
