The Lyrics

As 2022 comes to a close, let’s reflect on the moments that we will remember most from this year.
A year in review,
A growing population; in
A year in review,
We felt that time had come to a standstill,
Ups and downs, and thrills,
Hopes and dreams fulfilled,
It’s ending so soon,

A year in review,
Volcanoes were a highlight of
A year in review,
Within the final twilight of this month,
I keep thinking of,
What there was to love, here in '22...

See advertisements playing,
A camp lawsuit,
That you would mute,
And Ticketmaster paying,
This year was fair,
But what can compare,

With a year in review,
How patiently I've waited for
A year in review,
Let’s count the days until this year is through,
Say goodbye to you, 2022;
A year in review!
The original recording. Let us hope that a better and greater year lies ahead.

Not sure if this song touched on the protests that started with the Freedom Convoy in Canada. Then the farmers protest in the Netherlands. The civil unrest in Sri Lanka. I guess the song was too short to cover those issues.

It was also too short to cover the multiple deaths, the Powerball controversy, the 1951 “Beat the Clock” show mentioned elsewhere, the FTX controversy, and others. OTOH, good thing there was room to mention the recent Camp Lejeune lawsuits and “The Day of Eight Billion”. Once again, great stuff from my namesake user. Have a Happy New Year.
