Parody Song Title:

"Rock Is Ageless"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Rock Is Ageless, Rock and Roll
It's the music of our soul
In the fifties it began..
With Bill Haley and his band
Called the Comets, they were strong
"Crazy Man, Crazy" their song

Like a fire, it would go
From a James Dean TV show
That was nineteen fifty-three
Rock was notched in history
Next came "Shake, Rattle and Roll"
Driving beats were on the pole..

Then with "Rock Around the Clock"
Kids were rockin' by the flock
Used as "Blackboard Jungle's" theme
It made Rock and Roll supreme
Little Richard hit the charts
Moved our feet and souled our hearts

"Tutti Frutti" and "Lucille"
"Long Tall Sally" had that feel
Boogie woogie, blues, and swing
Some would call him, Rock's first king
Drums went crazy, so did Sax
Banged pianos grooved in wax

Rock Is Ageless. Rock and Roll
In the sixties gained control
Funk was tossed into the mix
Rockabilly added licks
So did gospel, rhythm, blues
Teenage shoe stores sold more shoes

Parents would hate what kids would love
Claimed it cursed the Lord above
But the trend would build and soar
Elvis shook his hips galore..
Dick Clark emcee'd on Bandstand
Rock would rule throughout the land

Great influence was James Brown
Rocked the country and the town
The four Beatles would invade
Strong and long their mark was made
Many groups would come and go
Styles can change, but not the flow

Years rock by, the King has gone
Just two Beatles greet the dawn
Rolling Stones still tour around
Gather moss with their same sound
Doo Wop shows play PBS
Proven true...Rock Is Ageless

Yes, it's true...Rock is Ageless

Sir, Duke oEdge, very nice and quite a memorial to all early Rock's contrubutors! This certainly rocks !

DKTOS, just a same-titled one by Def Lepppard, but I trust that the pacing is spot-on, like two people already have. Also, the content is well-written.
