The Lyrics

Soon, (It’s coming soon, it’s no blue moon)
Coming soon, (It’s coming soon, it’s no blue moon)
That A.I. is bound to get you,

Oh, (ChatGPT, get on your feet)
Don’t go slow, (ChatGPT, get on your feet)
That A.I. is bound to get you,

Try it, try it, try it, try it, try it, mmm...

(vocal solo)

A.I. Steps,
It’s coming soon, the future is nearing,
A.I. Steps,
ChatGPT, it’s new, and it’s fleeting,

One, two, three,
Make some text suggestions, (dee-de-oh!)
Be lazy,
Use the app that’s putting the world on its feet,

A.I. Steps,
Once you begin, you have to give in to,
A.I. Steps,
Get on your toes, 'cause everyone knows that,

If you’re not a dunce,
Oh, you'll catch on at once,
Well, simple as ABC,
It’s the A.I. Steps!

(vocal group)

A.I. Steps,
It’s coming soon, the future is nearing,
A.I. Steps,
ChatGPT, it’s new, and it’s fleeting,

One, two, three,
Make some text suggestions, (doo-doo-do-doo)
Be lazy,
Use the app that’s putting the world on its feet,

A.I. Steps,
Once you begin, you have to give in to,
A.I. Steps,
Get on your toes, 'cause everyone knows that,

If you’re not a dunce,
You'll catch on at once,
Simple as ABC,
It’s the A.I. Steps, whoa!

A.I. Steps,
(instrumental call-back)
A.I. Steps,
(instrumental call-back)

One, two, three,
Make some text suggestions, (doo-doo-do-doo)
Be lazy,
Use the app that’s putting the world on its feet,

A.I. Steps,
(instrumental call-back)
A.I. Steps,
(instrumental call-back)

If you’re not a dunce,
You'll catch on at once,
Simple as ABC,
It’s the A.I. Steps, whoa!

Simple as the day is long!

Oh, thank goodness F.F. (Fedora Fred) is back with another rehash of a random subject: “That A.I. is bound to get you...” “Simple as ABC, it’s the A.I. Steps, whoa! ... Simple as the day is long!” Once again, great stuff as usual from the person who did 800 “parodies” about irrelevant topics. OTOH, the votes speak for themselves.

I was wondering when we would get Herbie Kay's take on Artificial Intelligence

Hey Fred, have you let the folks at Webster's know you're trying to redefine "trite"? Maybe you could send them a copy of that song about sugar-free cake so they get the full idea. Or better yet, keep copying Phil's reviews of your entries. That way there's actually something funny to read.

“Trite: when someone writes parodies about irrelevant topics every other week”. Just like how they changed the definition of “recession” last year. Then again, how many people are going to bother learning the new definition?
Merriam-Webster - April 03, 2023 - Report this comment
We'll include that definition in the next dictionary, thanks for the suggestion. In the meantime, you should teach your parody-bot to parody songs and feature topics that people are actually familiar with. Otherwise, turn it off and move on. We will say that your line “Simple as the day is long” is comedy gold, but only because you didn’t even change it from the original recording.

Thanks for the news, Merriam-Webster. Can’t wait to read the all-new, 2023, dictionary with new socially acceptable “entries”.

“Simple as ABC, it’s the A.I. Steps, whoa! Simple as the day is long!” The greatest sentences EVER!!!
Phil Ossifer - April 04, 2023 - Report this comment
Yeah, yeah...Artificial Intelligence, ChatGPT, “simple as the day is long”...we got it the first eight billion times. Why should we trust anything from the person who started the ridiculous scene of 300 Boy Scouts and their trials of adolescence on this site? It was a lifetime ago, and no one else on the planet cares. Please tell him to pack up his parody-bot and move on.
Amiright Voice of Reason - April 04, 2023 - Report this comment
What has happened to this site? It used to be a place where great writers actually contributed useful entries. Now it’s entirely about 300 hormonal Boy Scouts, scantily clad assistants, elephants, some elderly couple, and Artificial Intelligence, all being contributed by some people who clearly have no idea how far the site’s environment — and voting system — has gone downhill. And to top it all off, the songs that one person is parodying are songs that nobody has ever heard of, such as “Rhythm Steps” & “When April Comes Again”. Are these really the dominate topics on this site?

Interesting comment turnout today. Draw your own conclusions.

Now, if I could only buy stake in ChatGPT, I would treat it like FTX, and keep it going until all the money runs out or it crashes. Then the Camp Lejeune lawyers can sue ChatGPT for emotional damages. There might still be enough money in the bank to indulge in the 2 for $6 special at Arby's.

Not sure if this song mentioned Mark Zuckerbeg's Metaverse, the Twitter files, the TikTok hearings, or the European novel that someone wrote in three hours. I guess the song was too short and trite to cover those issues.

Artificial Intelligence: The greatest gift to song parody and satire.

So, considering the mini controversy surrounding this parody ... and that I have had a chance to listen to the OS ... Im going to say that this parody is pretty good. There is a certain bit of ironic humor in closing a parody about Artificial Intelligence with the line, “Simple as the day is long”... I think it’s brilliant. Now to get to the comments. Arch Vile, you made a good point in that this parody should have included more topics. I could've referenced the Metaverse. Phil Ossifer ... as has been said before, you comment an awful lot on this users parodies. And to the Amiright “voice of reason”, I dont see how your argument that this site is entirely about AI holds much water. Are you still trying to get the point across about the 300 Boy Scouts doing God knows what incident? Overall, the controversy over this parody is out of hand. “Keep it down to a dull roar”, as the saying goes
The Metaverse - April 05, 2023 - Report this comment
We also have a saying here in the Metaverse, which we feel is perfect in describing this parody: “Nordic but nice.” Need we say more?

This is pitiful. A thousand people tripping all over themselves to worship Artificial Intelligence. What a hype. Talking robots used to mean something in this culture. They used to kill the robots, and they used to eat it. You're hypocrites, all of you!

A comparison between Artificial Intelligence and the length of the day doesn’t tell me anything useful about why I should read Fedora Fred's trite “parodies” on this or any other subject.
Just Saying 3 - April 23, 2023 - Report this comment
This isn’t a parody, you barely even changed the lyrics. You only chose to cover Artificial Intelligence because you had already run out of other topics, such as that crappy TV show that aired before most of us were born.
CML - April 23, 2023 - Report this comment
To the POS who used my name to insinuate that Im in favor of ANY of this nonsense, let me be clear: I, along with everybody else here have never heard of Herbie "'freaking" Kaye and his "freaking" orchestra before. Moreover, I will never listen to a single lyric of any of these ludicrous swing era bands that disbanded before my parents were born. ...... The source of comedy for song parodies is the tweaking of something familiar .. a familiar song tweaking a familiar topic. How did Al Yankovic put song parodies on the map. By tweaking Herbie Kay? And endlessly referring to an event that no one even knew about? If he had tried it, he would have lasted about a minute before he got the hook. After two minutes he would have heard crickets chirping. At the 3 minute mark, there would have been total silence because even the crickets would have been bored to death.
