Parody Song Title:

"I Take Change From The Couch"

Parody Written by:

I Take Change From The Couch And Buy Me Stuff
Sometimes beer, or some cigarettes to puff
When I'm down and out flat broke,
Have a thirst or need a smoke,
I Take Change From The Couch and Buy Me Stuff

I fish coins from the sofa to get things
Search beneath all the cushions, near the springs
With my fingers, I will grope..
In this wishing well of hope,
I take coins from the sofa and get things

I find quarters, and nickels, dollars, dimes
Cleaning furniture like this is not a crime
It's the hobby I pursue
Often find a buck or two,
Searching couches for nickels, dollars, dimes

I Take Change From The Couch, go out and spend
It helps out when I'm broke or in a bend
Be surprised what I find there
And no taxes to declare..
I Take Change From The Couch, and go and spend

Don't trash that coin givin' couch, Sir ! Sounds better than a nickel slot machine, eh?

Gone couch fishing, Pete? As a little girl, I would find nickels, dimes, and pennies and put them in my piggy bank and always save it for ice cream. Once I found a half-dollar coin in the couch. I echo all comments. FYI, my friend from school collects British coins, or schillings from buying them in some antique store. So he spends money just to buy money (as in foreign money).

Appreciate it, MsCouch, and Christie

Great parody there, Pete, and I once found over $4.50 in pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters in a couch that someone paid me $25 to take out of their garage in 2001. Hey, you can't beat nearly $30 with virtually no work to speak of, and a parody about free money is hard to beat, especially one this good. BTW, Christie, schillings were Austrian currency before the Euro. Shillings are what you are thinking of. 5s.

Andria: Usually I'm a good speller, but when it comes to that word, I'm likely to get confused and mixed up with those currencies. I definitely was thinking of shillings. But I've heard and found out about Austrian schillings as well. Learn from you anytime! :) Until then, Peace Out!
