Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

George Gershwin

Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

Warren Baker

The Lyrics

Stanley Kirk Burrell. The man could dance.
And the leapin’ is easy
Pants are puffy
And the boogie is nigh

His hop was hip
And his dancin’ good lookin’
Can’t touch, little baby,
This, so fly

See how he’s swarthy
He’s got his arms both flinging
Then he’ll swing his bling
And he’ll jump pretty high

When feet are shuffling
It’s a pharaoh pro-file move
The groovin’ and movin’s, mighty sly

When the 80’s were nifty
Thugs weren’t thumpin’
And the bullets weren’t fly

Some say it’s kitsch
And it’s dated, poor jukin’
Just wish, like the Hammer,
I was spry.

I've tried several times to come up with a good parody of this song, but you really nailed it!

Thanks, Porfle. I got the first verse out of the gate, but the remaining lyric took me a few days to 'hammer' out.

Hammer was at first a decent rapper, then a total sell-out, then a fake gangsta rapper, and finally a bankrupt has-been. But he seems to be recovering over time. Great parody-555!
