Parody Song Title:

"A Great Game Show Night"

The Lyrics

The greatest night in human history.
One night, a great game show night,
Boy Scouts were cheering, the show was endearing, then gone...

Great night, what a lively night,
Elephant; hot lights, the kinescope gone with the dawn...

This one little moment, half-hour of bliss,
All 300 Boy Scouts wanted “Roxanne”’s kiss...

One night, those Boy Scouts saw Heaven,
Don’t be forgetful,
Remember this great game show night!
Once again, I have invoked the 1951 “Beat the Clock” show featuring 300 Boy Scouts...the one with the elephant, and that cheesecake I really need to explain it to you?? Anyway, the song that is being parodied was the final track to be recorded at bandleader Benny Krueger’s very last recording session in May 1934. He never recorded another song again. Who could have known in 1934 that in less than two decades there would have been 300 Boy Scouts on the same stage as a woman? Sad that no one thought to preserve a recording of this broadcast.
