The Lyrics

I couldn't believe this hadn't been done already...
You know Frodo and Samwise and
Pippin and Merry
Boromir, Aragorn
Legless and Gimli
But do you recall
The fellowship's wizard at all?

Gandalf the grey-robed Wizard
Had a very wooden staff
And his amazing fireworks
Made the hobbits clap and laugh

All of the little hobbits
Used to think he was such fun
They didn't think that Gandalf
Was a pow'rful Elder one

Then one night in Rivendell
Elrond had to say
Gandalf and your sword Glamdring
Lead the fello'ship of the ring

There shall be nine in total
As the ringwraiths before ya
Gandalf the grey-robed Wizard
You'll go down in Mor-i-a
You'll go down in Mor-i-a

Nice one, Phil. The guy's in pretty good shape for however many hundreds of years old he is.

Pacing limps in a couple of lines, though the style and imagery play on the OS fairly well. 4-5-5.

This is swell, Phil! I did my own LOTR version of Rudolf last Christmas...but this is great!

I just looked up and saw how I spelled Ruldolph. I swear...I think sometimes I make these comments in my sleep...

I really am the Greyest wizard of them all. I mean, Greatest.

Thanks, everyone :-)
Arwen - "Rudolf" is equally valid as a spelling: I only went with the -ph version because that had about triple the number of hits when looking for the OS
Merry - "Legolas" wouldn't scan, and realizing that's what it sounds like when you drop the "o"...

I noticed the 'Legless' spelling too - thinking that Orlando Bloom drank more than milk (as in 'The Calcium Kid')!
