Parody Song Title:

"Tom Brady Song"

Parody Written by:

Max Power

The Lyrics

Here it is
Well I'm going for my forth ring, can it be?
A forth Superbowl ring or third M.V.P.

Too bad it turns out that my passing got sacked
As I'm falling to the ground my offensive line got wacked

F-L-E-E, that spells "flee", that's what Belichick did lady
Saw their ads on my TV. Thought about crying but I'm Tom Brady

Now instead of 19 wins, were looking flat
My head is hurting like a dicken and my teammates' getting laughed at.

F-L-E-E, that spells "fee", please stop crying I'm Tom Brady
I'll work on another one soon enough

I work in radio so I got it right off, but everyone voting needs to please remember there are three versions of the Free Credit Report song on air, so it might be a good idea to distinguish the three. 555s.
Agrimorfee - March 11, 2008 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Since I DKT Free Credit Report song, nor do I know the situation involving Tom Brady, I can't make any postive or negative comments about this. But really Max, did you expect high-end votes with this in SOTM?
Max Power - March 11, 2008 - Report this comment
No, I expect it to die... Actually I figure I should keep the participation streak alive since the once I was working on for this contest came in few days late.
littleCupCakes - March 12, 2008 - Report this comment
555 Sir ~MaxiumPower~, Tom Brady is a local boy here from San Mateo, CAlif. So any poetic words about him is always delightful!
A Room Full Of Monkeys - March 15, 2008 - Report this comment
I don't know. This author is right up with there with TSB judging from his parodies.

You streaker! :-)

I'm in the same boat with Agrimorfee on this one. One word of caution, if you're going to do extremely random, unheard of, or impossible to find original songs make sure the topic is something everybody can relate to. Dave can speak frome experiance on this one doing not half bad on the Reel Big Fish round, when his original song is lost in musical oblivion.

(SOTM-FEB08) These commercials with these credit jingles drive me up the friggin' wall because they always seem to come on the TV when I'm trying to write a parody and it blows the parody line I'm writing of the OS right out of my head as I swing around madly for the remote to hit the MUTE button. Grrr

I cannot believe the number of 1 votes this got. I think you must have hit the top of a google search and annoyed a lot of financially stressed folks when they get yet another version of that stupid jingle when all they want is some credit. I have a parody that gets high hits on the search engines and it has a lot of votes, a lot of hits and a lot of comments. I'm fiving this just because you have enough cojones to actually write and publish this. Nice job.
Jason - March 24, 2008 - Report this comment
Well it must have attracted attention. #634 views so far. Not deserving of a magnitude of 1-votes though.

(SOTM) I've also gotta side with agrimorfee & Matthis on this one. DKTOS, but maybe thats just because I'm Canadian, because the "Free Credit Report" song hasn't been played up here in my region at all to my knowledge. Also seems much too short to be a SOTM, but I wish you luck nonetheless.
bhill - March 25, 2008 - Report this comment
wow thats a good one
bobpiecheese - March 30, 2008 - Report this comment
(SOTM)...um, I really DKTOS, have no idea who Tom Brady is, nor can I make sense of the extremely short parody. That's all I can say really.
Red Ant - March 30, 2008 - Report this comment
You deserve 5s simply for pissing off at least 57 NE fans. I DKTOS, but the rhyming is good. Too short, obscure and time sensitive topic to be a SOTM winner, but kudos for doing something different.
wannabemustangjockey - March 31, 2008 - Report this comment
(SOTM) I'm going to guess that this is a parody of the version that aired with the guy driving a blue Geo Metro hatchback. If so, I'm familiar with the OS but never liked that song as much as the one in the seafood restaurant. I agree with what everyone else has said.
Jeff Reuben - March 31, 2008 - Report this comment
Heh heh...of course you got slammed with 1s for ragging on Brady...people that feel that strongly about their team lose their sense of humor when something like this comes up. Short, but fun to read.
Below Average Dave - March 31, 2008 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Max Power, um, did you have anything else you could enter, I just don't feel this was your best foot forward buddy. . .
Phil Alexander - March 31, 2008 - Report this comment
I don't know if there could be more "just don't get it"s for me than this one: DKTOS (should that be DKTOJ?), don't know who you're talking about, and can't understand why it's been hit with 60 1s: you must have got up someone's nose...
Jack Wilson - March 31, 2008 - Report this comment
Twas alright, but yeah those songs in those commercials get annoying too
Invisible Boy - March 31, 2008 - Report this comment
Max...I grew-up in Boston and live less that an hour from that city today. But, in the true spirit of our community of parody writers...if you want to bash Brady/ Belichick et all, do it right. I mean, they a such big targets, and there is so much to make fun of...go for it !!!
Mikey Squirrel - April 01, 2008 - Report this comment
SOTM- I kinda remember this commercial, I'm really surprised you decided to parody it. I don't know the subject matter, and it's really short, but still not too bad. Maybe just not a SOTM choice.

(ABC) hmm, I can't find a single angle to approach this one from, Max - DK Tom Brady or any of the characters, or the sport, or the OS, so I'm going to have to exit gracefully - sorry mate ;-)

(ABC4T) As I commented above those jingles are still slapping me around when I'm writing parodies. I gotta shut off the TV now when I'm writing because of this. I must admit it takes some grit to write a parody out here using a TV commercial jingle for an OS. I five you just for that. I've thought about it but YOU did it!

(ABC) Hmm, Max, very different song choice, I don't know that I would have chosen a song from a commercial as a parody choice--namely because I could never record it, at least the person it's about is someone I am familiar with:) Congrats on being unique:)
steve - July 08, 2008 - Report this comment
Not bad but too specific for most people. Your song would appeal mostly to sports junkies. Parodies that work best for larger audiences are something a lot of people can relate to and i assume that's your goal if you don't want to wind up in song oblivion like someone already said and singing this only at each year's super bowl karaoke revival.
