Parody Song Title:

"On The Street Where I Live"

The Lyrics

Another ode to another bane of the summer months.
Weather people say hot weather is so great
I don't think so - no, not I
"Cause some of us are condemned to a bad fate
To such sneezing and such streaming of the eye
So my heart just doesn't really start to fly
As I turn the calendar over to July

I have often walked down this street before
But the pollen never made me blink like this before
I can hardly see as I start to sneeze
Pollen's here on the street where I live

People offer me tissues I can't see
I'm so cursed when I start sneezing oh so violently
This July I find I am nearly blind
Hay fever's on the street where I live

And the irritating feeling
Just to know that summer is here
The really deafening sneezing
It's safe to say that July is here

I can't wait until summer's gone and done
For then I can go back to seeing just everyone
When the weeks go by, pollen count's not high
So I'm safe on the street where I live

First migraines, now hayfever and heatstroke. Make sure your air conditioner works, and that you've got money for takeout, and don't leave the house! And keep these good parodies coming!

Thanks - this is another one I came up with at work. The thing about doing mundane things like stacking shelves is, I spend eight hours a day putting bottles on shelves while my mind wanders and gives me ideas when songs get stuck in my head. Three in the last week came to me that way.
