The Lyrics

Setting: a campsite in the woods, summer time. Big tent set up, small bonfire in center. Dad sitting relaxing in a chair; Mom agitated, swinging her arms around, slapping her body.
We have set up our pretty tent
Our campfire is burning bright
But you seem to be in a bother
Why'd you give your face a slap?

All the insects dear, they're all buggin' me
Oh, I don't know if I'll last
It looks as though our camping trip is no fun
Something must be done

All of the skeeters flew in to bite her
Take a breather, was no spiders
Skeeters, bite her, breather, right her
Just spray yourself with Off!

I see mosquitos inside the grotto
Yes sir, amigo, they bug me a lot-o
Mosquitos, the grotto, they bug me, a lot-o
Let's spray the place with Off!

And oh! When we use the bug spray Off!
The bugs will part
And oh! When those bugs depart
Then all our fun will start!

(Daughter comes out of tent, swinging arms around:)
Hey Dad, Mama, bugs in my pajamas!
What's with the drama, you stepped on the cameras!
Listen kid, leave it to Mother
It'll help when I'm spraying on Off!
Let me spray your bod with Off!

(She sprays Daughter with the bottle. All sing:)
We're full of laughter--Mom, Dad and Daughter
So quickly after we sprayed like we oughter'!
Daughter, laughter, oughter', after
We sprayed ourselves with Off!

Now Citronella, it ain't a thrilla
It makes me ill-a, the chemical spill-a
It makes us ill-a, the chemical spill-a
Let's use the Deep Woods Off!

And oh! When we use the Deep Woods Off!
The bugs will part
And oh! When those bugs depart
Then all our fun will start!

So if you are ticked off, scratching your arm off
The skeeters that get tough will suddenly drop off
If you use that bug repellant
We're referring to that bug spray called Off!
Just spray yourselves with Off!

I often wonder.. from the way he sings, do you think Fred Astaire had Gingervitis?

(Decathlon 2.0) If only the'yd use this parody instead of that bloody annoying one they have at the moment...they pronounce 'greasy' as 'greazy' for cryin' out loud! Excellent job, Agri!

Decathlon...this really made me smile, Agri...I can relate way too much! I don't know which annoys me more, though...bug spray, or the bugs themselves. Bleah! I hate them both!! Kind of makes me wonder why I love camping so much, though...=)

I live in Florida. The mosquitos have a hive-like artificial intelligence in some places, and strike with the precision of a Navy SEALS team. Where can I buy some of this stuff?

(DEC 2.1) I've always wanted to do this OS, but have never come up with a good enough idea: I now doubt if I could better this. Fun rhyming, and great imagery. Bravo. 555

(Decathlon2) Very good word play, I liked the varying back and forth on the parts (it made it feel like a commercial) and we can all appreciate the desire to get rid of Mosquitos

DEC 2.1- Well, this one definitely did not bug me. (Argh, why do I use bad puns?) Very catchy and funny, Agri.
