Parody Song Title:

"Gary Cooper"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Shy and tall
With an easy western drawl,
Gary Cooper
One fine movie Star,
A real trooper..
We loved him back
In the day...

He'd say, "Yup"
Layback as a sleepy pup,
Gary Cooper
Could outdraw each bad
Villain snooper..
Great cowboy parts
He would play...
Would play,
We loved him back
In the day...

Wall clock ticked it's say,
Soon High Noon would be hummin'
The town folks, hid, would stay
Tex's guitar kept a' strummin'
Grace Kelly would pray
As outlaws were a' comin
He would face, brave, the chore

Stood his ground
While the bullets flew around
Gary Cooper
Shot those bad guys down
He was super..
We loved him back
In the day..
The day,
He had his own cool way

AFW - Is this a fine job? "Yup." Am I also a Gary Cooper fan? "Yup." Just don't tell our uber-progressive friends that he starred in the 1949 version of The Fountainhead. In many ways, you ARE the Gary Cooper of this site...can I be Walter Brennan? Cheers? "Yup." ;D.

Just got thru watching "The Fountainhead". Cooper seems a little out of place. King Vidor wanted Humphrey Bogart for the role of Howard Roarke. But Cooper was Rand's choice. High Noon, of course, was his best role. Though, in a real Western town, the pending arrival of a gang of outlaws would have drawn the entire population to the depot, with Winchesters at the ready, and notice to the bad guys to move on down the line or spend eternity in Boot Hill.

A Coop coup. Even the Coop couldn't rescue FH from its dreadful and laughable screenplay.
