The Lyrics

When I started to clean up my sketch folder, a few weeks ago, I submitted a parody called God Gave Rednecks Their Guns that was well received (by today's standards, with four comments), so I figured I'd go ahead and take a quick shot at my other lingering idea in the same vein.
God & Rednecks, Guns & Rednecks
It's a violent combo not to complex
Of it said Obama
It's all they have except their Mama

God & Rednecks, Guns & Rednecks
Kill abortionists and outlaw safe sex
Don't like rear end entry
That's strictly for the Congress' gentry

Try, try, try to separate them
They'll get in motion
Try, try, try and they will throw at you
The Constitution

God & Rednecks, Guns & Rednecks
Round them up they are the likely suspects
Married sis' and brothers
With lotsa guns
An' ammo, tons
And when undone - they'll shoot each other

Yee-Haw!
© Peter Andersson. (I've learned a lot about America over the years simply by hanging out on amiright, hence ideas like this from overseas, though we do have our own type hicks here too, it doesn't take that much imagination for someone like me who grew up in the boonies to write about them, just add guns and you're good to go across the ocean (it seems). Anyway, they're not that fun to write anymore, like I said above, with stuff like this I'm just cleaning out sketches now, hence also using the short version of TOS, hope you liked it anyway).

I bitterly cling to my guns. But your song is very funny. Conservatives are different from liberals, because we can laugh at ourselves. Well done.

If you're getting your impressions of Americans from AIR parodies, you're going to be sadly mistaken. For one thing, I've never actually boffed a sheep. ;) For another, the site was heavily Left-leaning for many years, giving a distorted picture through their eyes, although all but those most blind in faith have been a bit disillusioned by the contrast between Obama's glittering campaign promises and the stark reality. Every promise he made (lower unemployment, etc.) has been broken, except for his health care mandate, which is about to be declared unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court, because it is.

Cleverly constructed, but see comment on your first one regarding the complete inaccuracy -- actually, rather offensive stereotyping, since it is apparently presented as fact, not fiction.

Accurate picture of Americans, per AIR:

Had I known that you were going to take them all as accurate depictions of Amercians, perhaps I'd not have ... naaah, old saying: "Believe half of what you see, and nothing of what you hear." (read, too)

btw, those gun-toting Americans (including my ancestors) greatly helped to save your country from being taken over by a Fascist pshychopath, many losing their lives in the process. How quickly we forget.... ;)

@ Tommy Turtle Wow, did I really manage to upset the great TT that much with two short biased looking parodies (take away the repeated choruses/titles and they each offer no more than approx ten lines to work with, not much room for fair and balanced) and a bottom comment that (though it probably could have been better constructed) only tried to say that "if you wonder why me, a Swede, is writing about American stereotyped hicks, here's why; no real everyday audience for stereotyping my own kind on AIR". Surely TT understands that I'm not building my view of America only on AIR found parodies from others that are running berserk with neutral truth and factoids only to maximize what could be milked out of a certain theme under a limited number of OS lines (or maybe he doesn't, seeing the gazillions of footnotes he adds to his own parodies, possibly as insurance to avoid looking biased himself) ;-) And even if I was building my entire view of the US based on all the AIR parodies I've read over the years I'd probably still be more in reality than those countrymen and women of TTs building their entire world view on one single book, two millenias old. ;-) As for why TT felt the need to throw in that the supreme court is going to kick out Obamacare as unconstitutional I have no idea, none of these two parodies of mine are about that and the constitution is only mentioned in reference to gun ownership. But OK, I'll play, here's what you Americans fail to understand about governmental healthcare slash taxes: We don't give a rat's ass whether it's constitutional or not, we're simply amazed that you're the ONLY country in the traditional western civilization that don't take care of your own! You gladly borrow trillions of dollars so you can go to war overseas and protect poor foreign women and children from dictators, but you're not willing to spend a few percent of that to protect your own poorest from disease and sickness induced destitution. It seems to us that choosing the constitution and the supreme court as the battleground for this issue is a deliberate diversion from the non-liberals, by making it an issue of whether or not it's constitutionally right you're ducking the real discussion of whether or not it's morally right. And possibly most amazing of all, it's the political side where a majority doesn't believe in evolution who most aggressively wants to throw their poorest fellow countrymen to the random perils of personal evolutionary biological resilience.

Europe has always been monarchies or other totalitarian states. The concept of individual rights has always been unfathomable to all but a very few Europeans, such as John Locke. But it took Thomas Jefferson et al., and a bloody revolutionary war, to enshrine them as a fundamental principle of Government,

I too disagree with spending trillions to push this concept on a world that neither appreciates it, nor, apparently, is capable of understanding it. I've parodied to that effect many times.

As for that one single book two mllennia old, you're stereotyping again. See the comment to your precursor parody.

Yes, I back up my sociopolitical parodies with footnotes containing "facts". Apparently, that makes me unique, and apparently, "fact" is the only four-letter F-word that is not allowed here, at least to some people.

No offense, Peter. You share the same bumper-sticker mentality as the religiously-obsessed whom you mock:
"My mind is made up. Don't confuse me with the facts."

Skaal.
