The Lyrics

Rat Pack August says thank heaven for Frank Sinatra...and John Kerry. Not too long ago, he called the voting public stupid and uninformed, having an understanding confined to slogans (like "Hope And Change"? "No Blood For Oil"? "Ho-Ho- Ho Chi Minh"?). Now he tops this by saying that the media should never cover the Tea Party, as they are a tiny group of terrorist hostage-takers without significance or relevance. Is he positioning himself to become the next Information Czar? ;D

When the news is playing
It's no good unless they're saying - what I say!
Let's have no distorting
You must always be reporting - just my way.

Don't show - those Tea Party losers.
They are not worth your time.
Hostage--taking truth abusers,
They are nothing more - than worm slime.

Voters all are brain-dead,
And with slogans they are mislead - so said I.
We can't have contention
Lest the voices of dissention - multiply.

Only back the First Amendment
When it is on our side.
For 'though I'm sounding snooty
All the press must do it's duty.
No air time - for Tea crime!

(Instrumental interlude with vocal returning for last three lines)

So head this message bearer:
Give no airplay to Tea terror!
No more Tea - on T.V.!

It didn't seem to bother him at all when C.B.S. ran its blatantly false and undeniably fabricated story about Bush's military record. ;D

Well said, Ribber! JK did not mention Tea Party specifically, so let's take him at his word. When he said (my paraphrase), "Media should not report a statement that everyone knows is false, just because someone asserts it", perhaps he meant less air time for the president. ;^D

Not to defend Kerry, but Bush's military record: war criminal. But I like the parody.

The parody was good, but if Kerry was wrong about the electorate being stupid -- at least, in 2004 -- then he'd be preparing his Presidential Library right now.
