Song Parodies -> "Haiku Can Be Fun"

Original Song Title:

"Moonlight In Vermont"

Original Performer:

Frank Sinatra

Parody Song Title:

"Haiku Can Be Fun"

Parody Written by:

Invisible Boy

The Lyrics

This may me a little out there, but this song was a hit by Frank Sinatra in the 40s and is considered an American "standard". I'm sure most of you have never heard of it. What's interesting to me is that the OS has almost no rhymes. Only the word "Vermont" repeats at the end of each verse. The verses, however, follow the 5-7-5 form of a haiku.
Haiku Can Be Fun

Haiku can be fun
Use this perfect melody
“Moonlight in Vermont”

Does not need to rhyme
Here’s a template you can use
Any time you want

If you’re like me you’ll hear a song and you’ll hum it
And you’ll soon find it stuck in your head
Sure, it’s quite old, but it’s still worth a listen
And then soon you’ll be writing lovely...

Verses, crisp and clear
Feel like “Turning Japanese” ?
Try a haiku jaunt

Thanks alvin, lCC and MrM. It's not really much of a parody. It's just an observation I thought was interesting.

Absolutely nothing wrong with informative parodies. Or tributes, and others where we substitute a different attribute for funny. When a parody is well written, like this, it gets 5's.

The author of the parody has authorized comments, and wants YOUR feedback.
