Late, but here it is, about the unforgettable presidential election of 2000. Nothing personal, Floridians. I hope to retire to your warm state one day.
we were at a bar--us poliscience geeks
so mentally scarred, cause it had been five weeks
since election night. we were freaking out
the barkeep says to us without a doubt:

that we went through hell
oh those crazy folks in florida
made our system smell
all they had to do was poke some chad through
and nobody would have to recount or sue

later on that night, well we got a prez
"just hang on there," that ol' barkeep says
"cause if things go bad, and if things go wrong
