Song Parodies -> "The Objectivist Internationale"

Original Song Title:

"The Internationale"

Original Performer:

Eugene Pottier

Parody Song Title:

"The Objectivist Internationale"

Parody Written by:

Jessica

The Lyrics

It's based somewhat on Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged.
Arise ye prisoners of taxation
Arise, producers of the earth
For justice thunders condemnation
A selfish world's in birth!

Altruism's chains shall not restrain us
Arise ye slaves, no more in thrall
The earth shall lose its sheer foundations
We have been naught, we shall be all!

"Tis the final conflict
Let us shrug in our place
The innovative working class
Shall leave the human race
(repeat)

We ask no governmental saviors
To screw us from their congress hall
We workers ask not for their favors
No subsidies at all

To free the victims of the looters
To free the spirit from the cell
We workers must decide our duty
We must decide and do it well

"Tis the final conflict
Let us shrug in our place
The innovative working class
Shall leave the human race
(repeat)

Jessica, you deserve extra points for setting an Ayn Rand novel to the Internationale. I'm seriously impressed!

I must refrain from voting until I know your intent: Sarcastic, fives; sincere, ones. Ann Coulter is Ayn Rand with a Midol shortage.

If you're asking whether I really believe the innovators should go on strike and leave this altruist, collectivist society, my answer is a definite "no."

...Nor am I a huge fan of Ayn Rand, by the way.

Too hilarious, especially the choice of melody. 5^3

To Tim G: 5 cubed equals one hundred and twenty-five, which is the total number of possible ways to vote. Don't know what you were trying to say.

I missed this the first time around, but I'd sure like to hear the Red Army Chorus record it. A revolution needs a revolutionary anthem. This is a good start.
