"An Angel Asks the Question: What is Man to Thee? Parts I & 2"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

This comes from poetry work and is heavily modified to suit my purpose. Included is a rebuke by Satan as Part 2. I am submitting them together. This work is as good as the best artistry and it took me a long time to get it right. It is also Biblically accurate based on scripture and is in chronological order. I hope everyone enjoys it :)
Part I

God of the heavens, God of earth
God of blessings and the curse
God for all eternity
What is this creature man to Thee?

Were not thine angels meant for Thee
Alone, the servants of Divinity?
Were they not in awe to see
Thy splendid Holy majesty?

With cries of "Holy, Holy, Holy is our King!"
With lowered eyes and folded wings
In glorious worship did they sing
Before thy throne their joy to bring?

Yet one corrupted by desire
The one that walked the Stones of Fire
Thy guardian Cherub that covereth Thee
Sinned by pride, then falling free

Cast a third from heaven's gate
In Lucifer they sealed their fate
Their love of Thee now turned to ahte
Consigned them to a fiery Lake

But as thy holy angels wept, for the fallen angels damned
Thous created life anew, the mystery of man
Then all thy angels elect & evil, in cosmic disarray
Beheld this lowly creature fashioned, from the earth's red clay

And did Thou not give man free will?
And did he yet choose evil still?
What is this creature, man to Thee?
If not partaker of iniquity?

[God answers back]

Why didst thou shed many tears
For the angels lost that raised their spears
Against my Holy throne and Name
Earning them eternal shame?

Did thou believest the Dragon's lie?
That thou must fearfully serve- or die?
That thou wouldst one day share his fate?
Tormented in Gehenna's Lake?

Fear not, for I created man
To show my Holy Ones my plan
Yes, I alone gave man free will
And when he sinned, I loved him still

I gave my Law, he disobeyed
I gave him prophets he betrayed
I gave him kings who worshipped idols
I gave my Son and 12 disciples

I sent my Son to earth to die
To become man's living sacrifice
On the Cross, His work was done
Through His blood, the victory won

Is man not, but a LESSON unto thee?
My justice perfected in inquity
Through infinite love and mercy
From the chains of sin I set him free

[Angel responds}

God of the heavens, God of earth
Glory to Thy Name
For thou alone art worthy,
Worthy of eternal fame

What is this creature man to Thee?
Thy crowning glory, truly free!

Part II

[Satan enters the picture]

WAS man ever truly free?
In the Garden, at the Tree?
What the serpent spake.. was it not true?
That man... would become... just like You?

From the tree, the man did eat
In doing so, became complete
Knowing good from evil- surely that can be no sin
For then his eyes were open- to the "cage" (of Eden) you shut him in

Nay, man is but a chained beast
Held on heaven's fragile leash
Turn him loose, set him free
And he will always follow ME!

[God replies]

Thous witnessed creation, high above the clouds
And thous hast been in Eden, before man was allowed
Thou beheld the serpent, shining as it walked
Upon its legs, amongst the trees, listening as it talked

And thous conceived in thine heart
Another evil plan
Thou, Father of All Lies
Would destroy this creature, man

Appealing to the serpent, wise
Thou filled its mind with subtle lies
And when the serpent was deceived
Thou sent it forth to speak with Eve

Seeing Eve had disobeyed, woefully deceived
Thou knewest in thine wicked heart. to whom Adam would cleave
Willfully he chose his mate
And sentenced man thine angels fate

But even as the first man sinned, at the forbidden tree
I knew his fall was of thy work, thou cunning enemy
So I gave mankind a promise, in a savior to believe
And sacrificed the Son of Man, upon another cur-sed tree

Those who choose My Son, choose Me
Redeemed for all eternity
Those who choose thee, thou deceived
Eternal damnation they receive

Satan departs, knowing his time is short...
