The Lyrics

My music hobby is performing old songs (mainly 30’s through 70’s). I write funny parodies for some of them. I change the song’s serious theme to something funny but retain original lyrics and rhyme as much as possible. This one got started by changing the song theme from "are you lonesome tonight" to "are you sorry tonight ".
Are you sorry tonight
That I’m snoring all night
And my glass eye fell and broke apart

Does your memory stray
To that sad summer day
That you learned they had replaced my heart

Do you wish that your pallor were empty and bare
Do you gaze at the graveyard and picture me there

Is your heart filled with pain
Cause’ I came back again
Tell me dear, are you sorry tonight
