The Lyrics

What's the fastest thing in the universe? Incumbent Democrats running away from President Obama and their voting records. Democratic congressmen are declaring that, if re-elected, they will vote against Nancy Pelosi for House Speaker. West Virginia Governor and Senate candidate Joe Manchin has even gone so far as to show himself shooting a copy of the cap and trade bill with his rifle! I can at least respect Senator Russ Feingold (D-Wis)...he's just about the only prominent Democrat running who is proud of supporting the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda. The rest...they've never even heard of Obamacare! ;D

Election Day - is coming soon.
Most Dems now sing - a diff'rent tune.
They state with drama - don't know Obama.
They're talkin' hooey!

They cast their votes - for new health care
And everything - that O. put there.
But now they're hiding - with whom they're siding.
They're talkin' hooey!

Reid and Pelosi said "Jump!",
They followed loyally.
They kissed Obama's big rump,
Now they're screwed royally!

Their Congress votes - they now deny.
They call you dumb - they think they're sly.
They claim they're mav'rick - it's just a bad trick.
They're talkin' hooey!

Most Dems are like - the leaves we saw:
They're changing colors - then down they fall.
They're changing their course - it's buyer's re-morse?
They're talkin' hooey!

Obama's press - still toes the line.
Listen to them - the country's fine!
They smooch his bottom - where has it got 'em?
They're talkin' hooey!

Obama's losing traction
Out on the campaign stump.
Big talk but little action -
Dems are now in the dump.

The day is near - it's just a week,
And we will hear - the people speak.
The message stated - we're aggravated!
Stop talkin' hooey!

Well...what can a person do if he can't blame everything on Bush? ;D

Even though, I'm still one of those Diehard Battered up Dems...I'll have to say this is written very well...The country does seem to be quite ill, lately..and I'm just not sure if either party, or a cup of tea can make it well.

AFW Thanks. I DO respect Feingold for his stand. I like to think I'm Martin Van Buren...he always felt it wrong to make an opponent into an enemy. Even Henry Clay said of Van Buren "I detest the politician...but I like the MAN." ;D

"These Republicans are full of hooey, and if that rhymes with anything, that's not my fault!" -- Harry Truman, running against Thomas E. Dewey, 1948, and still right. Nancy Pelosi will still be Speaker on January 3, 2011, and Harry Reid will still be Senate Majority Leader. After all, it's Republicans who lie. Democrats' sin is something else, remember?

Very good parody, particularly the "bottom/got 'em" rhyme. When you write "big talk but little action," I wish there had been little action, because all of the legislative action hurts the economy more.

And it's good to see Michael Pacholek predicting that the Democrats will retain control of the House and the Senate. We know how accurate his predictions have been in the past.
