The Lyrics

This last battle of WW2 is little known. At Schloss Itter in Austria French "honor guests" were being held including top Govt officials, VIPs, and athletes. US troops tried to liberate them but then the SS were coming to kill them. Twenty German Army troops decided to join the Allies to repel the Waffen SS until US armor could arrive. The SS attacked on three sides, so only 14 Army soldiers together with 20 German soldiers had to fend off the attackers. They rescued the French who also joined in battle. By the time the SS brought up panzerfausts and panzerschreck weapons to blow the main gate, US reinforcements arrived with armor and the SS was forced to withdraw, still fighting after the German surrender.
Held Schloss Itter, US proud
Heer helped put the SS down
14 Army soldiers amazed
20 German soldiers joined that day

(MP-40s, K98ks)

Joined together
Fought 17th SS Panzer
Freed French prisoners
Their lives in danger
VIPs, athletes removed together

The Last Battle, Axis-Allied for better
103rd praised German defenders-cool..

Yesiree! Even in defeat, the Nazis always looked cool. I can hardly wait for the movie.
But where are the fives? Send in the fives. Don't bother, they're here.

Those who know the story DO ask why Spielberg hasn't made a movie. Fact. Btw, I am fully awate that you knew nothing of this. I taught you something and not the other way around!

A little known story. Needs to be a movie, but who will do it? Wasn't the last air engagement of the European war a fight between the pistol-wielding pilots of a Piper Cub and a Fiesler Storch?

In the West it was a L-4 vs Fi-156, with pistols. In the East a Me-262 got a Yak-9. On May 9th a Russian fighter mistakenly shot down a P-38 confused for a Fw-189. And in the PTO, a B-32 shot down two Zekes three days after the war ended. The day before the Japanese nailed a B-32.
