Parody Song Title:
"The Sands"
The Lyrics
When the mob built in Las Vegas
Their casino called The Sands
It was the time that Frank Sinatra]
And his Rat Pack wowed the fans
Jimmy Alo, called, "Jim Blue Eyes"
Hopped a plane and came to town
Front man he was, for Meyer Lansky
They made Vegas mob renowned
For the boss, they got Doc Stacher
Helpin' him, a hood of fame
Who was the man that ran Chicago
And Babe Baron was his name
Racketeers were silent partners
Holding small shares in The Sands
Two percent, owned Frank Sinatra
Gambling license in his plans
JKF was introduced to
Judy Campbell at The Sands
And later dated Sam Giancana
FBI watched from the stands
Later Sixties, Nevada Gaming
On Sinatra, placed demands
To cut ties with Giancana
So, Frank sold out from The Sands
In the same year, Jack Entratter
One of Lansky's good right hands
Closed the deal for fourteen million
Howard Hughes had bought The Sands
Time moves on, a fading era
Swingin' Sixties, that they were
No more Rat Pack's wild carousing
No more cocktails left to stir
Hourglass had slowly trickled
Many grains since way back then
Closed it's doors, blew up the building
Now, The Sands is sand, again...
In it's place is, The Venetian
But, The Sands is sand, again...
