Recent gas prices have driven* many people in my area to find other ways of getting around; as a result, the local public transportation has been getting more and more crowded - with results very similar to the following. [*-yes, pun intended]
1] Oh, the nation's tempers are growing short,
What with gas approaching a buck a quart;
So it's now time to seek
"transportation publique"
On the highways after all.
2] Well, the sign says "double capacity",
But I don't think there's any room for me;
'Cause we're now [holy SMOKES!]
Hauling three times the folks--
It's a small bus after all.
