In case it hasn’t been made clear already, this is a parody about the 1951 “Beat the Clock” show that featured 300 Boy Scouts. I’m amused at how many people have learned about this broadcast since I first wrote about it on this site just four months ago. I wrote multiple parodies about this broadcast, and then I stopped. Now, another user on this site has decided to pick up the torch. For the time being, it is now his responsibility to spread the word about this broadcast. And of course, he’ll have to mention “Roxanne”, the elephant that appeared, and that line about cheesecake. Those are important to knowing about the broadcast, it was not just 300 Boy Scouts. As this parody puts it: “This was their young love calling — wasn’t a dream!” Also, see the link at the end of this parody to see pictures from this broadcast.
