The Lyrics

Just another song about The Donald.

A YouTube version of the original song can currently be found here.
Come down and gather 'round The Donald, man of means
Who's backed up by the people and some pumped marines
He lets his mouth cascade and the polls go bump
For modern day cowboy Donald J. Trump
Who wrote the book on earning and to deal so well
That he can schlong the pundits and his party as well

Go go
Go Donald go, go
Go Donald go, go
Go Donald go, go
Go Donald go, go
Donald J. Trump

He started funding his campaign from his money sack
And 'bout the other candidates he was talking smack
The teabaggers would hype Cruz running in the shade
Humming down the fact he's Canadian made
Pundits sassing wifes had to file away
'Cos first lady Trump has everyone outweighed

Go go
Go Donald go, go
Go Donald go, go
Go Donald go, go
Go Donald go, go
Donald J. Trump

The pundits tell us someday he will jump the shark
And Godwin's Law been dropped more than the Deutsche Mark
Many hopeful runners now've been narrowed down
To Hillary and Donald and the final round
Maybe somehow it will be an epic fight
Rulebooks Donald J. Trump rewrites

Go go
Go Donald go, go
Go Donald go, go
Go Donald go, go
Go Donald go, go
Donald J. Trump

Good use of the rocking OS, consolidates DJT's role as most spoofable candidate for anything ever. Unfamiliar with your use of "schlong" in any verbal sense. Where's that from? Swyiddish schlang? Must admit that i had to google "shark jumping" and "Godwin's law" to be sure what they meant. Topic is getting a bit tiresome now, but 5s.

Trump would be awful. We really deserve better Presidential options in both parties. Anyway this was funny, 5's

@ Dr Giorgio: Schlonged is a term that Trump has already used to describe what Obama did to Hillary in 2008. Expect to hear it more, even by pundits in high profile media, after the summer, when it's down to the final two.

The noun "schlong" means the same as the vulgar "penis." It is a Yiddish word derived from the Middle High German "slange," meaning "snake." "Schlong" is pronounced "shlahng," which has an onomatopoeic quality so common to the Yiddish, suggesting an imposing, hanging, swaying appendage. Being schlonged involves the tumescent schlong being unexpectedly and crudely stuffed up milady's orifice, popularly known as the "knish" or "schmundie."

Super use of the OS, excellent parody all round :D

What's up, Dr Dick? I hear you run a halfway house for ex-hookers called "Dr Dick's Halfway Inn." Well all can say is keep up the good work, you old schmundie schlonging schlemiel of a schmuck

@Dr Dick; Reasonably well versched in Yiddish schlang, I find your explanation schpecious. I don't believe that shlong/schlong, a venerable NOUN, had any currency as a verb (meaning getting 'shafted') until its accidental birthing by the confused Trumpster himself last fall. Likely, he meant to use the elegant VERB-form "schtupped". Shows that we need to give whatever he suggests short schrift/shrift. Hats off to Peter for sticking our noses in the latest schmutz. BTW: Open-carry of any of these terms is prohibited up here.

This may be reschersché, but "schlong" was verbed well before Trump fractured the Yiddish. In 2011, NPR’s Neal Conan made this observation (to The Post’s Chris Cillizza) on the 1984 Walter Mondale/Geraldine Ferraro campaign: “That ticket went on to get schlonged at the polls.” Too bad, by the way. Sic transit gloria schmundie.

@Dr Dick. Sad for Y-shlang that, with few native shpeakers, it will now be shaped by incognoscenti. And, in the scheme of things, with these words being used in school contests and possibly at the White House, shouldn't we shtandardize the shpelling and drop the redundant 'c'?
Peter Andersson - April 26, 2016 - Report this comment
Thanks everyone! I think I'm gonna have to go balls out on good taste and come up with a way to put schlong/schlonged in a title next, he-he! BTW, I just checked and the form schlonged has been on Urban Dictionary since 2009, seems it was on the rise before The Donald:

Standardize? Redundant? Heresy! Why do we drink Schlitz instead of Shlitz? TRADITION, tradition! TRADITION!
Dr Giorgio Coniglio dec, again - April 27, 2016 - Report this comment
@Dr Dick; Ya, but 'sChlitz' derives from a fancy deutsche heritage, as does the protagonist of this sChlong-song. When I was a kid and my Jewish pals called me a shlemiel or a shrinking-violet, that was good enough for me. And do we want 'C'-words being used in higher journalistic and political circles?
Phil Alexander - April 28, 2016 - Report this comment
Hey, Peter, you could always do "Swing a Schlong" to that old Carpenters number

(hmm, a security code of 6KV.. shows the idea has a lot of potential)
Peter Andersson - April 28, 2016 - Report this comment
I do see the potential for bonus side jokes about wood by going with the Carpenters, but I think that OS is too flaccid to hit the target hard. :-)
