The Lyrics

on halloween...i ran to seek loot
on halloween...i ran to seek loot
i run thirty blocks, doin' a sprint in hot pursuit

when i am trick-or-treatin', can't stand still
saw halloween as a coup of thrills
a cramp, while i'm strollin', i can ill afford
really tough run with these treats on board
break my back doin' 'bout ninety-five
i was bumpin' and thumpin'...hied and hied

on halloween...i ran to seek loot
on halloween...i ran to seek loot
i run thirty blocks, doin' a sprint in hot pursuit

some crackerjacks turned up and right next door
a load of red hots and a full size skor
some ol' good and plenty and sweet tarts gained
then kandy like korn was at last obtained
my face been a-showin' all over the 'hood
i knew i was gettin' the most i could

on halloween...i ran to seek loot
on halloween...i ran to seek loot
i run thirty blocks, doin' a sprint in hot pursuit

i finally slowed down...my strength went down
and under my chest, my heart did pound
bag o' snacks heavy as a ton of lead
the door of my home half a mile ahead
shattered and shook but my bag is filled
and i love halloween when that candy gets spilled

on halloween...i ran to seek loot
on halloween...i ran to seek loot
i run thirty blocks, doin' a sprint in hot pursuit

I notice that trick or treaters come to my street by the SUV load instead of staying in their own neighborhood. Does that happen to you?

I've only become familiar with Halloween since I moved to the UK...(don't really do it in Australia)..this was fun. 555

In the words of the immortal George M. Cohan, you're the kid that's all the candy. (And apparently has GOT all the candy, too!) Kristof: To borrow a phrase comedian Will Durst used for his hometown, San Francisco... Considering all the strange creatures there (some of them human), in Australia, Halloween is redundant.

LOL! Yeah, in Australia there isn't much fuss over Halloween, but my friends love to go trick or treating just cause they get free food, even if they're the only ones. LOL! 5-5-5, truly awesome!
