The Lyrics

Written for ( and about ) my ex, may he R.I.P. .....-D
I'm gonna sleep a little better
Had to blame it on my husband, o.k.?
He was rockin' all the rafters
Couldn't get to sleep, no way
Roll over, quit snorin', not gonna hear it again today

My damn discomfiture's risin'
As my eardrums start to bruise
My heart's outta rhythm
So there just ain't no way I can snooze
Roll over, quit snorin', sounds like you're chokin' on food

Your breath is reekin' ammonia
I need a shot of whiskey or two
I think I'm leavin' tomorrow
Until we get a muffler on you
Roll over, quit snorin', sock in the mouth might do

Well, if you feel you're fed up
Just turn him over and jam the sock in
Tape it over and just make sure that
Nostrils are open, make sure it's solid
Wind it 'round him
He better quit snorin'
'Cause I got a pistol too

Well, clearly I'm in mourning, I woke up late that morning
Guess I slept until he turned blue
The trouble was clear, he couldn't fog a mirror
And now I stand here accused
Played tapes of him snoring, got off on spousal abuse

And while he's rotting with the earthworms
Dance with a grinning cop
I got a brand new partner
Bought a brand new pair of socks
And if he starts snoring, the taping will never stop

Roll over, quit snorin'
Roll over, quit snorin'
Roll over, quit snorin'
Roll over, quit snorin'

Roll over, quit snorin', I shop for coffins in twos

555 cm of air pressure on the CPAP machine! Seriously, Catch, five and a half years ago I was diagnosed with OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea), which, among other things, made me snore so incredibly loudly that the noise bothered my wife when SHE was trying to sleep! My sleep doctor prescribed a CPAP machine, and ever since then, I've slept more or less like a 40-something baby...and my wife has, too!
