Deadly virus released in '17
Killed over 7 million human beings
James Cole immune took up the call
Traveled back before it all
Dr. Cassy Railly lectuted then

Cole abducted her and told earth's fate
But she only thought he was insane

In the TV series the future is 2043 and Cole jumps back to 2013 and 2015 in the pilot. The virus starts in 2017.
