Parody Song Title:

"That'll Be The Day"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

...buddy literally speaks about the day he dies...
that'll be the day
when i say goodbye
that'll be the day
when my fans will cry
too quick, i had to leave
the world wondered why
but...that'll be the day...that i die

well, the plane ran into trouble
and it...took a tumble
landed rough and quickly
it was bloody rude
you know i'll miss my lady
and my...unborn baby
emotions swelled...when i was through

well, that'll be the day
when i dared to fly
that'll be the day
when at peace, i lie
first week of February
in nineteen-five-nine
yeah...that'll be the day...that i die

the plane did, downward, dart
that's when the trouble starts
the cabin came apart
and out we flew
the field was lonely
and the...wind blew coldly
that sad day just makes me blue

that'll be the day
when i say goodbye
that'll be the day
when my fans will cry
too quick, i had to leave
the world wondered why
but...that'll be the day...that i die

that'll be the day...boo hoo
that'll be the day...boo hoo
that'll be the day...boo hoo
that'll be the day...that i die

Great idea...using one of his biggest hits for a tribute...and very well done...A real tragedy what happened to Holly, and the others...comparable to the James Dean loss in the same decade. Also lost Hank Williams..The "Fifties" seemed to be the Doom decade for celebrities and performers

Good idea alvin. Now you can start a series starting with Ritchie Valens and J.P. "the big bopper" Richardson. Then there's always Jim Croce and Ricky Nelson...well I guess the list really could go on...

I understand that Waylon Jennings was almost on the Plane but there was no room for him
