Parody Song Title:

"Wizard of Wor"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Look who's about to go through the maze with a yellow suit...
Worriors (go), Worriors (go), Worriors (go), Worriors

Who's just in to the arena?
(Wizard of Wor)
Well well well well, that's the game I love best
(Wizard of Wor)
Who's got the props with the yellow jumpsuit?
(Wizard of Wor)
Well, nobody, nobody, nobody else in town

Well, he'll beat the other beasts on the spot
(Wizard of Wor)
Oh yeah, 'cause he's got somethin' they ain't got
(Wizard of Wor)
When he goes to take a walk
You better watch out for the stalk
Youngsters love him, grown-ups dump him
Wizard of Wor

(instrumental break)

Who stops the Burwors with a 2-player game?
(Wizard of Wor)
Who drives all the Garwors insane?
(Wizard of Wor)
Tell Thorwors to leave this town
Those Worlucks won't be around
Youngsters love him, grown-ups dump him
Wizard of Wor

I can't vote on this, because I'm trying like hell to remember this game, but after 20 years or so only the title sounds familiar. I'm pretty sure I dropped a car payment's worth of quarters into its machines, but I can't see the game in my head. (It probably can't get through all the baseball trivia, old song lyrics and political tirades.) Is it possible you misspelled the title, and that's what's keeping me from remembering it? Anyway, thanks for all these video-game parodies. You're doing a better job of bringing back the Eighties than VH1 in its wildest dreams -- or the ex-Administration officials did during the Reagan farewell.

He didn't misspell the title; try Google or go to MobyGames rightaway to see some screenshots to refresh your memory. I have no idea what the original song is like, so I'm not sure how this one works. I'm not sure if grown ups dump him either, but it seems OK.

The Brother Bones version of this song is an instrumental version. It's best known as the Harlem Globetrotters theme.
