"Getting Some Snowshoes"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Getting some snowshoes,
Such is the winter in Ohio
Getting the snow blues
Starting to feel a bit perplexed..

Getting some snowshoes
2009, you're a rough old baby,
I'm thinking, maybe..
Dogsleds are next..

Getting some showshoes,
Feeling a Jack Frost wind blow breezy
Knowing it's no use,
Spring is a fling, far away..
Hating that Groundhog,
Wish I could hibernate as easy..
I'm sick of these cold temperatures and flu
March and April are still due..
I...want..May !

Hating the Groundhog,
Wish I could hibernate so easy..
I'm sick of these low temperatures and flu
March and April are still due..
I...want...May !

Another creatively written parody like always, AFW! Loved the way you interchanged the lyrics to the OS! BTW, my dad is fighting the flu as of right now. I enjoyed that "Hating that Groundhog" line. 555!!!

At this time, I don't need snowshoes. I need galoshes, rain pants and a raincoat since it has been pouring down rain for several days now. I can't wait for May either, since I'll be 29 on the 23rd. Great job, and 5s.

IB..Oh, fooled me...you don't write that NE accent...and thanks, Mark, and Andria...Happy B'day in advance...29?...hmm, you don't sound a day or 27..and maybe you should play 2923 on 4 digit lottery, and split with me if you win...

One of the coldest winters I ever spent was 76-77 in Columbus.
AFW - February 26, 2009 - Report this comment
Thanks, John...yes, and this one is the snowiest, coldest and longest on record
alvin - February 26, 2009 - Report this comment
love the title switch and concept..i'm woefully ignorant about snowshoes though
AFW - February 26, 2009 - Report this comment
Thanks, alvin...snowshoes look kind of like tennis rackets on your feet...used in deep snow, in places like Alaska, to keep from sinking down
