Parody Song Title:

"Star Dreaming"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I'm at badave.com
Dream of glamor, dream of fame
To California to stake my claim
Reserve a star in Hollywood
Because I know my acting's good
'Cause I will
become
A big
hit star
I'm not a big dreamer
I'll be just like that dude Stallone

Soon my dreams will all come true
I'll play James Bond and Batman too
Get more cash than I can hold
Work 'til I'm thirty years old
I can grunt
or hurl
or die
so well
I'll be a great actor
Just like that kid in Home Alone

Hang out at posh clubs now
Meeting the stars is key
I'll Make that Spielberg WOW
He'll be begging for me

I'm paying my rent again
I'm singing for a wedding band
One day it will all come true
Just wait 'til they see what I can do
'cause I ought
to be
the next
Capone
I'll be like Clint Eastwood
but perhaps even more well known

Still trying, cut again
Wake tomorrow, drink some gin
A stage extra? That will do
I'll get my big break, I swear it's true
I just need
one chance
To show
my skill
I'm not a dream chaser
'Cause I know I have looks to kill

Please just give me any part
I promise I'll learn it 'fore filming starts
Damn, Harder than it seems

I can totally relate to this one, because I too am an actor trying to make it big like Al Capone and Clint Eastwood (Great references by the way). Not all around funny, but more meaningful at least to me.

Thank You Matty, 2XM and John!

(Ages) Not bad. Some ragged pacing due to syllable accent mismatch, and I think you have some extra syllables in there, too. Some funny ideas. 4-5-5.

(Ages2) I don't know how hard it'd be to make Spielberg say "Wow", but showing him a 120-foot robot made of six construction vehicles is enough to make him swear in joy, which is nice (according to Michael Bay). Anyway, great parody, 555, blah blah blah.

AGES...this didn't make me laugh too much, as Matty said...and I did stumble on pacing a couple times. But overall it's good work, Dave.

Nice work, Dave.
I have a question which I rarely, if ever have asked you. The "star"/Stallone" rhyme threw me. I think the OS rhymes own/alone. Now, I admit I didn't check, but that seems like something I've never seen you do before. (you picked it up later with Capone/known and skill/kill)
Anyway, I liked it...

A good song. I hope you got a part in the video! Any part, no matter how small. I'm sure you'll learn it before filming starts :)

Harder song to parody than I would have thought. Good job with the rhyme scheme, and right now my sister is in CA doing the acting thing, so I can relate on her behalf.
