A few weeks ago, the USGS (United States Geological Survey) reported that there were three earthquakes in the state of Georgia, which appeared in online search results as “Three earthquakes in Georgia”. And there is a Ben Pollack song called...”Two Tickets to Georgia”. Both phrases have the same number of syllables, so eventually I came to write this parody.
Three earthquakes in Georgia,
How much did they weigh?
Three earthquakes in Georgia,
USGS!
They all shook the state fine,
Shook people employed,
Three earthquakes that rattled
But not destroyed,
Come on and help,
Help the cleanup crew,
With what they will do,
On their afternoons,
(After these earthquakes!)
Throw out the strewn garbage,
The debris goes too,
Three earthquakes in Georgia,
They'll come to you!
