Before I start, I want to make it clear that I am not currently enrolled in any form of education whatsoever. I have never stepped foot in a classroom in my life and I am going to reflect that here. But since so many people have gone through the public education system, and since children and high school students are going back to school, I thought that I would do my take on how they feel, as I have never experienced it myself. In other words, people wouldn’t understand what really happened, so it was changed to reflect the experience of the average person. This may not make sense to anyone but to me it does.
School room jitters, school room jitters;
First day jitters, take my pictures, school room jitters.
Like the pounding of a hammer
Is the school bell and its clammer
Of the school room panorama,
School room jitters!
Read the pages, read the pages,
Have the reading list and millions of pages.
Oh, the chatter, chatter, chatter,
Hurts my brain, it doesn’t matter,
The world around me’s now badder,
School room jitters!
Had time alone in my room,
Now the time, I have to SEE it through!
Each hour the minutes pass,
Wish I’d end it all like Ben Pollack!
