Song Parodies -> "Putin Hates Them"

Original Song Title:

"Jesus Loves Me"

Original Performer:

Anna B. Warner

Parody Song Title:

"Putin Hates Them"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Putin hates them! This I know,
In Crimea it did show;
Pro-Russians to him belong;
They are weak, but Russia's strong.

Yes, Putin hates them!
Yes, Putin hates them!
Yes, Putin hates them!
In Crimea it did show

Putin hates them! This I know,
Defied US and NATO,
Sent in troops, met Russian needs,
Saying, “Coup was urged by Kiev”

In E Ukraine he has sway,
40,000 on display,
(West) expansions will not forgive
Fencers* crossing US ships

Putin hates them! Has his pride
Ethnic Russians on HIS side;
Occupations have set in,
And soon invasion might begin

Putin hates them! He will slay
Unmarked troops? No, he won't say;
Infiltration secrecy,
Provokes Western "emergency!"

[Or hypocrisy]

*Su-24 Fencers harassed two US warships so far, one armed at altitude loitering while another unarmed flew over 12 times baiting the US ships to fire. They did not, showed weakness to start a war or cause an international incident.

Only Rob would use a well known Christian OS and turn it to hate!

Such is the nature of writing parodies- not the first and certainly not the last to do so ;-)

AFW did not authorize comments for his Hell, Michigan parody. Too bad. I went to Hell back in 1976. Population looked to be about two. Just a gift shop, a sign (mounted on a tall pole which was surrounded by a high fence to prevent theft). A gravel road, a small lake, a tavern, and some rough gravel roads. Middle of nowhere. No bus, train, nor plane. Very nice wooded scenery. I've heard the place has grown over the years and draws crowds for bike rallies and custom car shows. One popular form of parody is to produce a song with the opposite feel of the original.
