Song Parodies -> "Disobedience"

Original Song Title:

"Disobedience"

Original Performer:

A.A.Milne

Parody Song Title:

"Disobedience"

Parody Written by:

Phil Alexander

The Lyrics

What if... A.A.Milne had been American? From the collection: When we were very sick
James James Morrison (Jnr) Wetherby George Dupree
Packed an AK47, although he was only three
James James said to his mother "You mother" he said, said he
"I can blow off your head and be sure that you're dead
And be out in time for tea"

James James Morrison's mother was rather amused by this
James James Morrison's mother started to take the piss
James James lost his temper, shot her once, twice and more
He blew off her head, made sure she was dead
And vanished out the door

Crimewatch put up a notice: flipped, bonkers, insane!
James James Morrison (Jnr) seems to be out of his brain
Last seen with a Kalashnikov, waving a samurai sword
A boy (under five) - wanted Dead or Alive
Fifty thousand reward

James James Morrison (Jnr), known to the tabloids as Jim
Asked the general public not to go blaming him
I had a dysfunctional family, it really isn't my fault
I blew off her head and made sure she was dead
And plea-bargained it down to assault

James James Morrison (Jnr) hasn't been heard of again
It's thought in certain circles he has been declared insane
But there's a Mary Bell order, so no-one can really be sure
If he'll blow off a head to make sure someone's dead
Once more, once more, once more

(Quietly now)
J J M (J) W G D
P a AK47, A H W O 3
J J s t h mr "Y m" h s, s h
"I CAN BLOW OFF YOUR HEAD AND BE SURE THAT YOU'RE DEAD
AND BE OUT IN TIME FOR TEA"

Bloody clever - well done!!! I was actually looking for the original words to teach to some young kids, but yours have made my day. Pity I can't teach yours instead.......still can't find the original!

Thank you Kate - you can find the original here: http://ingeb.org/songs/jamesjam.html (amongst others... a google search for "james james morrison morrison" (using the quotes) turns up loads)

It appears that we Americans are avoiding this one; but, even though you take a mild cheap shot at us, this is very good. I like the plea bargain line. I'm not sure whether this parody or Claude Prez's "Bear Named Pooh" will cause more distress to the memory of Mr. Milne.

As Phil's mother, I find it a little scary!

Absolutely class! I too was looking for the original to teach my kids as is a brilliant poem but this takes the biscuit. Have sent to my mum on email as she taught it to me 37 years ago 'when I was only 3'. Well done! Do some more.

Thanks Alessandra..
Emma - thank you, too: I have done one or two more ( click the link where it says "Parody written by: " above), also the odd Disney Winnie the Pooh song, and Dr Seuss poem.

A little gruesome - I liked your "Three Cheers For Pooh" parodies better. But clever. :)
