hi...my name is alvin rhodes....i was born way back in 1955, so i was strongly influenced by 60s music...my favorite bands are the beatles and the grateful dead... i live near los angeles in a town called bellflower (making me a bellflorist, i suppose). my first exposure to song parodies was listening to allan sherman records...i'm also a big fan of weird al....i started listening to him on dr. demento in the 70s...(by the way, dr. demento lives in the city next to mine (lakewood) and i'm seen and talked to him on a few occasions, running into him at thrift store record bins...speaking of records, i've been collecting since 1972 and currently have about 14, 000 of the things floating around...my other passions include baseball (go dodgers) and celebrity graves (many to see in southern california...i've even been to allan sherman's....plus about 350 others....i put them on videotape..i started writing parodies for a south park booster club in 2001...to date, i've written over 700 south park parodies (i am also south park al).....i sent my first parody to amiright in 2003...and decided to jump in with both feet in 2004...i often write parodies that in no way reflect my personal beliefs....i also sometimes write parodies that have no humorous content at all..and i don't use upper case letters much.....if anybody wants to e-mail me...feel free...i can be found at moonphish6@aol.com....OK...that's my two cents.
