Scathe Extended Author Info

Hello AmIRighters, I'm Scathe. I thought I would share a little bit about why I'm at AmIRight. It started in August of 2004 when I was doing an online search for song parodies. The first site I found... was the Bob Rivers website. After visting bobrivers.com for a week or so, I was curious about other song parody websites. I searched again and stumbled across AmIRight.com. I was blown away by the selection of song parody lyrics and soon it be came a more regular online stop than the Bob Rivers website. I was an instant fan. So for a couple of months I kept visiting AmIRight and enjoying the comedy it had to offer. Then near the end October something that had been causing stress and ire for a while pushed me over the edge. It was gnawing at my sanity like a chipmunk. I am talking about the 2004 presidential election. I had had my fill of the speeches, commercials, and campaign posters (I'm politically impartial so having that kind of stuff thrown in my face can be really iritating.) when I remembered that AmIRighters often use parodies to turn stress into laughter. I gave it shot and submitted my first parody "Campaigns". Thus, I adopted the pen name Scathe. I derived the nickname from the fact that parodies often display something in a derisive and unflattering light. Since then I've been chugging out parodies and submitting them to AmIRight. I prefer to stay anonymous as an author so I won't be telling anyone my real name. I'll continue to submit to AmIRight in order to reach out and make someone laugh.
