Hello, this is Andria, and welcome to my author page. I started writing parodies for AmIRight back in 2001, took a hiatus until 2007 for educational purposes, took another hiatus until 2008 after I had some unpleasantness in my life that I'd rather not disclose, and I jumped into writing parodies (almost) full-time in 2009. My influences outside AmIRight include Allan Sherman, Tom Lehrer, Mason Williams, those two wonderful magazines known as "Mad" and "Cracked", Frank Zappa, the Dr. Demento radio show, Cletus T. Judd, Spike Jones and (of course) Weird Al Yankovic. Within AmIRight, my influences include Alvin Rhodes, Airfarcewon, Stan Hall, Guy DiRito, Spaff, and John Barry. I have been writing parodies since I was in middle school, but my parents objected to my spoofing of music to the point that they allowed no Weird Al or other parody artist recordings in the house until I moved out and they also discouraged me from writing parodies. My first five parodies on AmIRight are the earliest examples of my work known because I wrote parodies on an old electric typewriter prior to my introductions to word-processing software and my discovery of AmIRight, and the printouts of all my early work were lost in the process of several relocations. In case anyone wants to shoot me an e-mail, my address is kilgoreandria@gmail.com.
