I actually saw and observed the Comet Hale-Bopp in 1996-1997 when I was in college. Astronomy is a big hobby of mine. I was p***ed off when those cult suicides occurred because of the new age lies and misinformation and superstition. It wasn't funny at all. However, you made a real good parody here. Funny enough Comet Hyakutake graced our skies all night long with a VERY long tail in 1996 and it surprised everyone. But no cult suicides anywhere occurred over that one. And BTW, do you happen to know about the Mongolian hard rock band The HU? I saw them play a sold-out gig in a club in late 2019, before the pandemic. The HU combine their Mongolian throat singing with Western hard rock and they are STELLAR. You should check them out. They sing in Mongol (and their CD lyric sheets are written in the Mongol language too) but don't let that stop you. Go to YouTube and give The HU a listen, check out their awesome videos. You'll be delighted.
