Parody Song Title:

"A Few Liberals"

Parody Written by:

Linda Terhune

The Lyrics

A few - liberals stand before you
(The far left side, now)
Liberal senators who could own you
(Got lots of bread, now)
One's a murderer and drunkard
(And that's a fact, oh)
Another's an ex KKK man bastard
(It's in his grain now)

There's Kerry, the admitted war crime hero
(Should be in jail yea)
Harry Reid the crooked man a zero
(He'll steal from you yea)
Vote Boxer and you will get free undies
(How 'bout that now?)
No-bill Hillary - you won't afford your sundries
(Another fact now)

Vote for them - you can trust
They're the anti American party - that's a plus!
They ain't got no morals or virtues but
They can whine and bitch a lot and make a fuss
They can whine and bitch a lot and make a fuss

Said, if you want to kill a baby
(Just vote them in now)
And if you want betray your country
(Just go ahead, now)
And if you wanna get some welfare
(Just go ahead, now)
And if you're Christian they don't do prayer
(They'll change your head, now)

No words here just a music solo -- Kind of like liberals, no substance, just lots of noise.

A few more liberals stand before you
(The far left side, now)
Media liberals who control you
(Got lots of bread, now)
One's an ex-comedian wannabe
(And that's a fact, oh)
Another's that dweeb that sits by Hannity
(It's in his grain now)

Trust in them - if you must
They're the anti American party - that's a plus!
They ain't got no morals or virtues but
They can whine and bitch a lot and make a fuss
They can whine and bitch a lot and make a fuss

Said, if you want to kill a baby
(Just vote them in now)
And if you want betray your country
(Just go ahead, now)
And if you wanna get some welfare
(Just go ahead, now)
And if you're Christian they don't do prayer
(They'll change your head, now)

And if you want to burn the flag up
(We think you should, now)
If you want us to make your minds up
(You silly pups, you)
If you want live part born abortions
(So do we, now)

If you want drunks talking at you
(You'll get the best, now)

If you want socialism for you
(That's the liberal way now)

And if you'd like the taxes up much higher
(We're there for you, now)
If you can't afford to fund abortions
(We'll fund them for you, now)

Oh, disrespectful leaders

(We're there for you now)

Oh, baby

Go ahead now Just go ahead now

(Oh, Anti-American like you) repeat to fade..

Come on come on come on ahead now

I gave it all fives because someone needs to balance the obvious liberal bias on the funny level... it is funny. (I see they don't wanna put their names down. Baby Killers Be proud!) but the greatest lines are the ones that expose the hypocrits. As a centrist I still appreciate the sentiment but could you rewrite it to hit the neo-cons too? good style.
Robert J. Pagliaro - August 06, 2005 - Report this comment
DKTOS and usually won't vote because of that. But the title got my attention. It was well-written and I'm sure met the pacing. As a liberal, this was very funny. Really. It's got to be challenging to attack the left. Nice job on keeping to the right-wing rhetoric, summing up the view of the other half of the country and making me laugh. Does the kool aid come in different flavors? bob
John Jenkins - August 06, 2005 - Report this comment
There does seem to be more liberal-oriented than non-liberal parodies at AmIRight, so I definitely appreciate this attempt to level the playing field. I thought some of the lines were over-simplifications, but I like the Hannity and no substance lines. Robert Byrd's KKK past probably should not be an issue, but you know it would be if he were conservative. I don't understand the Barbara Boxer line. She's my senator, but I didn't vote for her so maybe that's why I didn't get free undies.
Adagio - August 06, 2005 - Report this comment
Definitely leveling the playing field here, thanks. DKTOS, sorry.
Linda - August 07, 2005 - Report this comment
The Boxer line was because during her campaign she passed out boxers - a gimmick to get more votes, (she is my senator too). I do not know what DKTOS everyone, sorry!
Linda - August 07, 2005 - Report this comment
I take exception to the "1" is pacing. I worked very hard on that guys. Geezers, if you do not think it is funny, fine, but voting "1" when I worked so hard on the pacing is pretty mean, partisan… (Goes with the territory I guess)
john ulvang - August 07, 2005 - Report this comment
dktos = don't know the original song once again the low vote on pacing is from a chicken sniper liberal bias voter who won't leave their name. Show your face "terrorist voter"!

Linda, in case you don't know, there is someone who likes to lurk here and vote 1's to just about everything, no matter what the quality, or lack thereof. Many of us (on both sides of the aisle) have been his victim, and some have even written parodies about him.

Linda, I will not attempt to engage you in a discussion. You are obviously 100% convinced about all the malarkey you spout with such incredibly boring repetitiveness...in the chorus part lines you use the same lines the 2nd run through...not very imaginative...and you use the same overblown accusations against the very same people you smeared in your last piece...so I find you guilty of being redundant and boring. Yes, I AM judging you...in those areas...so what? You don't seem to have a problem with judgmental behavior when you are tossing it around, do you? You dish it out, can you take it? Oh, yeah...I'm also little disappointed that some otherwise intelligent, thoughtful people were so pleased at this nasty piece of work that calls members of the opposing party "Anti-American" (and YES, YOU DO...) and then say WE have no morals...I resent that, PERSONALLY, Linda. I'll measure MY morals and actions against YOURS anytime, Lady, because, NEWSFLASH...you are packing a lot of ugliness in your work...you sing to the choir and disrespect everyone else with it...If you could possibly be imaginative or clever about it I would just pass it by...but it's just crap. I'm not judging your pace...I am DKTOS on the OS, just the content...I'm not the "1" voter, I would not vote on this garbage under any circumstance...never. OK...I'm angry enough to say more, but I'll close here...got others things to do...
Robert J. Pagliaro - August 08, 2005 - Report this comment
Paul - you are absolutely right. What I found so humorous is that the hypocrisy is mind blowing. I just thought it was beautiful that as a defender of the Bill of Rights, I'm labled as anti-American - yet the Right-wing (and this author) who have no no respect for the First 10 Amendments are the definition of American. Makes me want to stand up and pray before each ball game and sing "God Bless America" during the 7th Inning stretch. I find the right-wing (Party of God) rhetoric laughable. If there is a god, I'm sure that he/she/it also would laugh. bob
Linda - August 09, 2005 - Report this comment
Paul, If you “will not attempt to engage me in a discussion”, why do you go on and do so with an enormous ranting that seems endless and goes nowhere? Why even post at all it you will “not attempt to engage”? I suppose that you DO want to discuss the piece, huh? In the “chorus part lines” as you put it, in the original song, that is exactly what they do so you hardly made a good point there. Then you say “Yes, I AM judging you… in those areas… so what?” To that I say, big deal, you are calling the songwriters “not very imaginative” and saying I am convinced, so what? Gee, you are a wiz! The rest of your paragraph is just rambling on and on without saying anything. When I first came to this site, all I found in political parodies were anti-Bush, anti-Republican songs and 99 percent of them were based on disrespect and untrue propaganda. I noticed that even though most of them were immature and very disrespectful, you praised them so I would have to say you are one hypocritical kid. You did not seem to think those trashy (and some very poorly written), were horrible in fact you thought they were great, because they were for your own party. You even wrote some of them, (not great ones I may add). Do not try to post a bunch of crap now to try to manipulate people into thinking you have some halo over your double-standard hypocritical head. If you do not like the facts that your leaders are KKK leaders, drunken cold blooded murderers, loons, admitted war criminals, thieves and the like and the fact that you are a baby killing, socialist, Marxist, welfare collecting, anti-God hypocrite, change your party, there are plenty of parties for your bitter little self to join! The truth hurts doesn’t it? But you know, running from reality and the truth will only hurt your life in the future, just a bit of friendly advice for a bitter little pill.
Linda - August 09, 2005 - Report this comment
Robert, what hypocrisy are you talking about here, (or do you just like to use that word to sound important and like you know what you are speaking about)? You are a left wing parody writer groupie and so stuck on your disrespect and your misled sheep impressions that you have no perspective. Nothing you said makes any sense at all, your whole paragraph has nothing to do with what I wrote, which by the way is all factual. Your problem is the same as your sheep fried Paul; you love the rotten parodies of the left and hate the right from telling the truth. You really should read over what you write before you “send it” though, that is my tip for you, (oh, and use a spell check and grammar check too, it’s always helpful to “read smart” if you are attempting to act the part). Why is it that you have such a hard problem when someone comes in here and tries to even out the political parody playing filed a bit, (with the truth, which is far more than the left wing parodies have been)? You can dish it out, yet you cannot take it. Real grown up Robert, great use of your adult coping skills.
Robert J. Pagliaro - August 09, 2005 - Report this comment
Linda: Sorry about the typo with "label" - I tend to type pretty fast. So what's your excuse - shouldn't you practice what you preach? (Something about spell check, reading over before "sending through") Hey, by the way, does it really bother you that much that John Roberts "helped" the gays? I mean, afterall, to your party the gays seem to be more of a threat than Osama. So Linda, have you read my stuff? Pretty funny, huh? It looks like the right-wing gives out eye glasses with the kool aid. George W. Bush stole an election, hasn't captured Osama, started an unjust war (resulting in the maiming and deaths of thousands of innocent people) and this is the best you've got? By the way, I thought your retort to Paul accurately described the the right-wing. "Piss off a republican, elect Hillary as President" bob
Paul Robinson - August 09, 2005 - Report this comment
Linda, no comment as to your opinion of my work...your opinion is something you are entitled to (yes, bad grammar...I like the way it reads here). But while we are knit-picking on bad habits I couldn't help but notice your need to throw in a gratuitous bit of name-calling in your comment - "sheep fried Paul"...rather unseemly in a remark where you tell someone else (Robert) "Real grown up Robert, great use of your adult coping skills." OH...so now you want to knit-pick spelling in comments, too? Yeah, we should all use our spell-checker before posting...I generally DO for my pieces and DON'T for my remarks. And we should probably re-read the remarks, too - just to be certain it is what we want to say and articulated correctly. Gosh, I know when I make remarks, especially to someone who really annoys me, I really get upset with myself when I make a careless error. I can tell you feel that way, too. So if you weren't being so picky with Robert - "You really should read over what you write before you “send it” though, that is my tip for you, (oh, and use a spell check and grammar check too, it’s always helpful to “read smart” if you are attempting to act the part)." I probably wouldn't bother to mention that you used the wrong word in this part: "Why is it that you have such a hard problem when someone comes in here and tries to even out the political parody playing filed a bit"...Linda, I think you may have wanted to say "FIELD" instead of "FILED"...although I hesitate to assume that...you may accuse me of trying to "put words in your mouth"...I assure you, short of a gag, I would never attempt to put anything of mine into your mouth...No need to thank me for the correction, heck, I needed to do a good deed today, anyway...Good day...

A taste of your own medicine is good for you, may help snap you back into reality, (it may, but I doubt it). Truth hurts; I realize you people have problems with the truth. When a party has no platform other than baby killing and they have to resort to 6 straight years of bashing in order to win votes, it's pretty hard. Most people, when they grow up and become adults with some degree of maturity become Republican, the rest are merely ego driven politicians or, like you two, remain immature and stuck on stupid. Try using some of your left brain matter rather than your right brain and I am sure you will have at least a start in figuring it all out.

Paul, why don’t you talk as if you are normal and not as if you are using a thesaurus for every adjective you use? In my experience the only people who talk or post or write like you do in informal situations have terribly low self esteem and are attempting to present a false persona in order to feel more important, smart or what have you. It gets old you know? Wouldn’t it be much easier if you just dealt with your issues rather than trying to prove yourself though your big words? (Just curious)

Caught a line from Robert in the comments above, and had to add this (he says, carefully avoiding any parochial politics and also pointing out that he DKTOS):
"Piss off a republican, elect Hillary as President"
...ISTM that this would be a great Major-General parody:
Piss off a Republican, vote Hilary as president
Elect the right-wing's bete noir and your next White House resident
Though, don't vote for her policies on healthcare, welfare or Iraq
Just vote for her to give Fox News's right-wing staff a heart attack

..or something like that :-)

Paul, is it really worth the effort to debate someone who thinks commonplace words are "big" and require a thesaurus? (Isn't this the same person who insists that "ad hominem" isn't in the dictionary?)

Linda: "Most people, when they grow up and become adults with some degree of maturity become Republican, the rest are merely ego driven politicians or, like you two, remain immature and stuck on stupid." And this is why I find you so humorous - the fact that your statements are so absurd (ridiculously unreasonable, unsound or incongruous). If becoming an adult and maturing means slouching towards fascism (becoming a republican), then I'd rather stay immature and hang out with my other stupid sheep friend Paul - (Baltimore is a great city - full of stupid immature democrats like me). Hey Linda, what flavor of Kool -Aid is the right-wing serving today? (They don't bother setting up stands in Manhattan, we got the last two presidential elections right.)
Linda - August 11, 2005 - Report this comment
Robert -- if you are so against Fox News, why do you coin a phrase that they are and have been using for at least a few months? (Kool Aid) I have noticed you like to use it a lot - as if it is impressive. I take it you are not out of the closet when it comes to watching Fox News then, huh? ----------------- Using "fascism" is also a very led and fed term to use for Republicans who are far from that and if you had any brains in your sheep head you would know that. ----------- Did you know the Republican party was founded because of the need to stop the Demoncrats from keeping the slaves they did not want to give up and caused a civil war over? Do you know any concepts that you have not been led to know? Oh, and to be sure, I know you will remain immature - that's a given.
Paul Robinson - August 12, 2005 - Report this comment
Well, golly, Linda...by gosh - I didn't know I was talking over your head. I'm very sorry that big words frustrate or annoy you. I would think you would want to expand your language knowledge at every opportunity (sorry, that's kind of a big word), since that would allow you to slur and slander people who disagree with you in a larger variety of ways. Really, have you ever been told that you have a really disagreeable on-line persona? You call people names and nit-pick and then get all bent out of shape when they respond in kind. What exactly do you expect? You see, sometimes, BIG words can be used to describe or define things better than recklessly flinging inaccurate and silly accusations. You know, if nothing else, going to the thesaurus or dictionary when you are angry might spare you looking so incredibly shrill and idiotic when you want to insult somebody...maybe...Naw - probably not. "Partisanatorium" - I'm not debating Linda anymore. There is absolutely no chance of changing her mind in any way whasoever, so I'm not bothering with that. My remarks here are strictly high-handed lecturing to someone whose manners are below my standards for engaging in debate. If I were Linda I would say that is a "fact", but, in fact, it isn't - it's just my opinion...see, I know the difference.
Linda - August 14, 2005 - Report this comment
Paul, Since you don't address a single question or idea, where is the debate? Personally I am glad you are bowing out, you could not stay on subject for the life of you. I think you just simply use diverting tactics in order to sway away from the topic at hand, in fact, I know it - you prove it constantly. Adiós, don't let your pro abortion butt hit someone on your way to your hippie meetings.

Feel free to comment on mine as well...America allows that, last time I checked. I have also said I would not vote on your stuff either. Frankly, I wish you would extend the same courtesy to me, but it appears you are too small for that...whatever, a mere annoyance, which appears to put that facet in line with the rest of your personality.

John Jenkins - I'm sorry, I just read this comment after all this time. I am not ignoring you really. Fact is, I don't remember why I didn't. More recently I have stopped allowing comments because most of the time I just get attacked on a personal level, (all kinds of rude personal name calling etc) and no one here knows me at all - not even a little bit! So, I decided if they can't be nice or at the least civil, then I wouldn't bother allowing them for political submissions. I mean, how do you answer someone commenting on your parody when their comment is something like "you're a psycho bit**, go take your meds"? It is telling to have their posts, the world can see the high road they choose to ignore - but it gets old. In this message board it was the same way - I was finally kicked out and when people asked about why, those responding gave very un-truthful answers (that are now public under my name!). The didn't delete posts that I made with me writing the things they said I did - and then I couldn't even respond cuz I was locked out. So really, if it's a personal attacking thing and they can't hold their own with some sort of truthfulness and class - then I don't bother.. (I am rambling, sorry)

The liberal bias of the Messageboard is stronger than the liberal bias of the parody section, but those left wing extremists of the Messageboard really seemed to miss your participation after you were gone.
