The Lyrics

Howdy again folks! I've been away for the winter and I sure miss you all! I reckon I have picked an extremely horrible and hard song to parody for my attempted come back; hit's hard to follow the origianal even if you have the lyrics and the song to listen to! Anyhow, I had fun with it and if you read and listen along; hit's real close to the original as far as timing and rhyme goes but as always; my lyrics have my backwoods spin to them . . .
[Intro:] (spoken)
Wake up man hey you wake up
Yeah let's get goin' here
Sick an' tired of five O' runnin' up on the clock
You know what I'm sayin'
Yo snow it came 'round here fallin' on you the other day
Herd? Herd! Bust it!

[End spoken]

A Farmer, he know that the sun he is gonna blame
Milk a moo-moo cow
Agriculture man say he grow 'maters from the start, somewhere down the plain
Milk a moo-moo cow

A Farmer, he know that the storm he is gonna blame
Tricky gaul dern plow!
Agriculture man said he grow 'taters from the start, somewhere down the plain
Tricky gaul dern plow!

The mule he go mad an' plow down de barn door
The bull come horn through his window
So then he put his truck back of the cars at the station
From that point on he walk his destination
When the destination reached he needed some rations
Then him cut down his plants 'cause the taters were rotten so

A Farmer, he know that the sun he is gonna blame
Milk a moo-moo cow
Agriculture man say he grow 'maters from the start, somewhere down the plain
Milk a moo-moo cow

A Farmer, he know that the storm he is gonna blame
Tricky gaul dern plow!
Agriculture man said he grow 'taters from the start, somewhere down the plain
Tricky gaul dern plow!

Bigger the tractor is, it have more power
He's on the phone he say I need two sack of flour
He jes' went and dropped his hoe cold in de marr
Farmer who he'll be callin is the one Granny
An' he love her cookin' down to his belly
Yes Ol' John Brown be canning some cool jelly
As the ones who plants onion sets so they grow
Together they hope for what they-did-sow

A Farmer, he know that the sun he is gonna blame
Milk a moo-moo cow
Agriculture man say he grow 'maters from the start, somewhere down the plain
Milk a moo-moo cow

A Farmer, he know that the storm he is gonna blame
Tricky gaul dern plow!
Agriculture man said he grow 'taters from the start, somewhere down the plain
Tricky gaul dern plow!

Start up for me, tiller better start up for me now
Start up for me, tiller better start up for me now
When we hit rock the tines better break-em up steady

Ol John Brown's fishin; on the pond
But the game warden wanna know where the bass has come from
They he says likes corn bread with his bacon
Yes he born an' raised in the garden that's the dirt he want you to know
Pure black dirt man that's all the man knows
Yeah his boots are tore up an' his toes they still show
Where he born is where the tater patch grows

A Farmer, he know that the sun he is gonna blame
Milk a moo-moo cow
Agriculture man say he grow 'maters from the start, somewhere down the plain
Milk a moo-moo cow

A Farmer, he know that the storm he is gonna blame
Tricky gaul dern plow!
Agriculture man said he grow 'taters from the start, somewhere down the plain
Tricky gaul dern plow!

Fry up a great big tater
Get kindlin' yes the tater is Irish
Everywhere he go he never left his ol' doggie
Yes it's farmer old he always roams the woods and
Roam between da mountains a in a notion-a
You never know say Ol' John Brown me just bake me a cobbler
He never laid down a flat of eggs in cardboard box
Yes say me Ol' J.B. he'll go reachin' for the 'shine at the top so

Why would he
Split wood free? (would he? would he?)

[Spoken:]
He sittin' 'round barn with his dribble dribble cow
Mule knock his door and kick up his plow
Plow ground up an' he can't do a thing
Throw out his lime to make his crops real green
Build up a fire to season the cast iron pans
Trail me down 'cuz I'm hangin' hides like no-man
What he gonna do is skin what that he trapped
Slap 'em on the face an' skin all the fat
Throw 'em in the flue and they'll just get warmer
Dinner in a pan, for this farmer.

[End spoken]

A Farmer, he know that the storm he is gonna blame
Tricky gaul dern plow!
Agriculture man said he grow 'taters from the start, somewhere down the plain
Milk a moo-moo cow

A Farmer, he know that the sun he is gonna blame
Milk a moo-moo cow

Milk a moo-moo cow

I can't tell, this may be one of my best efforts or it might well be one of my worst!Keep in mind, the original was voted an all most awesomely bad song on VH1 so I had quite a chore to work with! Be gentle now, I'm jest gettin' back in the loop. If this diffucult parody bombs, I have my eye on some easier prey to try to redeem myself.

Ee, oy, ee, oy, oh! No, seriously, this was good. Never be afraid to parody an "awesomely bad" song, because those are the most fun to do. We build this city on schlock and roll.

Welcome back, JB! Anyone who wasn't here last summer needs to check out John's classic "Elmer Fuddian Wapsody": http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/queen92.shtml I saw that part of the VH1 special with this song but unfortunately (or fortunately, for me) that was the only time I've ever heard the song so I can't fully appreciate this. Fun read, though, and glad to see you back.
