The Lyrics

Ah, the 90's...when cartoons were at their best. Original Song:
I was young, cartoons everywhere
Loved Johnny Bravo; Filbert, Hef and Rocko
Had fun hanging out in Dexter’s Lab

Captain Planet and Aahhh! Real Monsters
Where’s Miss Sandiego? And Action League Now!
There’s Cow and Chicken and Pepper Ann

But today, it’s so messed up
Just make it like when we were all young

Give me Ren and Stimpy!
Back then was so rad
Give Ed, Edd and Eddy!
Our SNL was called All That

KaBlam! And CatDog
Watched Beavis and Butt-Head, Pinky and the Brain
Well, who hasn't seen them before?

Hey Arnold! Rugrats everyday
“Just move it football head!”
Chuckie’s escared again
Just give me those shows, my friends

It feels so long ago
I’d run real fast from school to get home

Love Spongebob and Sandy
And their best friend Pat
Give me Dag and Norby
Those Angry Beavers are so mad

Where's Otto and Reggie?
Rocket Power’s rad!
Give me Doug and Patti
Then Doug, he will become Quailman

Nineties are, a long way from here
We all watched the Legend of the Hidden Temple
Magic School Bus every week

But today, the world feels wrong
These shows today can just get the gong!

The Wild Thornberries
Tim Curry’s their dad!
Give me Kel and Kenan!
That orange soda, it was so rad!

Even Bugs and Daffy
They’re still pretty rad
‘Cause J-Woww and Snooki
The reason why TV’s so bad

555!!! I watched most of those cartoons, but many would argue that the mid-'70s to early '80's Saturday Morning Lineup were the best (several from Krofft and Filmation). Depends on how old you were growing up. I have box sets and individual DVDs for: Ark II, Isis, Run Joe Run, Wonder Bug, Electra Woman & Dynagirl, Fat Albert, The Bugaloos, Dr. Shrinker, Far Out Space Nuts, H.R. Puff n Stuff, Sigmund the Sea Monster, Shazam, Lost Saucer, Space Academy, and many more!

Nice ode to cartoons although a lot of those weren't on my radar. Of those mentioned Bugs, Daffy, and Ren & Stimpy are my faves. But we all have our own eras to be nostalgic about. Mine are the theatrical cartoons of the 40s and the Saturday morning cartoons of the 60s. Also like Adult Swim stuff like Space Ghost, Harvey Birdman, Sealab 2021, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
