It's just as hot as it is in the summer
I turn the A.C. on
In Southern Florida, you get your coffee from
The local Starbucks in Aventura Mall
Where people dress just so
They'd look good to the tourists
That are here from Canada
I sit and wonder what am I doing here

But in the state of New York, I can be rude
I can attend
A Broadway play
I can go to California, or Mississippi
But just as long as I get the hell out of here

In Southern Florida, all the people got
Spanish names like Juan and Jose
And Rosa and Domingo
In Southern Florida, on the boulevard
You'll have to dodge those ice cream vendors
Or you'll pay too much
I never felt so lonely, never felt so out of place
I never wanted something more than this

But in the state of Texas I can ride a horse
I can even have
The death penalty
I can go to Alabama or New Mexico
But just as long as I get
And in a car I can get to Missouri, Rhode Island
And Oregon
I just wanna make sure that I
Get the hell out of
The state of Florida and move to
