The Lyrics

For more on me, check out
. . .This is not based on a real character, this is life as heroistic cartoon character
Big Blue eyes and six pack
I am some artist's new creation
The Garden of Eden
Drawn as ev'ry known location
And if you think this life is keen
Try Life in Animation

If my belly's too big
just go and erase your observation
I have battled a huge beast
At least we don't have to fight for vocations
I'm always good, still wish I could
Leave Life in Animation

Touch my nose but still no smell
The scene is hell they're staging
Those alien twins will never win
I never will be aging

I was never born
Same clothes I've worn
This is Life in Animation
Stuck with Life in Animation

Scary this world, yes I'm wary, plot unfurls
Don't get to choose my destination
Ten times I've died Reborn the next slide
Like Soap show's poor explanations
Life may seem bizarre but I don't get scars
from Life in Animation

Anvils fall from up high my dear
and the sky is just a decoration
Fifty pounds of gear, no fear
I still jump from nation to nation
What world will I save today
It's Life in Animation

Say a phrase and then get dazed
Fighting in desperation
Slicing through the thin air
and save my maker's creation

I've never sworn
Cannot watch porn
This is Life in Animation
Not worth all the Admiration
Win in crazy Situations
Too much computerization

(Guitar & Light Drum Solo)

I will proceed to fight bad guys I'm told
Are still out on probation
Don't get breaks while I'm saving freight cars
from life of eternal damnation
And lazer rays wouldn't end this long
azz Life in Animation

I've got a story to tell (oooooh)
About the dwells I'm saving
Beating evil pests (ooOOooH)
Win ev'ry quest
that's what us hero's are braving

Fight demons with horns (ooooh)
I don't look worn (ooOOooH)
This is Life in Animation
Not the best of Occupations
No time for some relaxation
This is Life in Animation

This didn't quite fully do it for me Dave, the pacing was off and on IMHO and I never really got attracted to or into the narrator's character, which I surrely would have been had it been... hmm... let's say Jessica Rabbit! :-)

Not bad, but even a Rolls Royce breaks down from time to time! ;-)

This reminded me more of a video game character than a cartoon character. I liked the vagueness of it more than Peter did.

I would have perferred this to have been more about a Tex Avary type character such as Bugs Bunny or Elmer Fudd rather than say Batman, but it was still good, that's why my favorite line was the one about the anvils, because that part was funny and reminded me of those old Looney Tunes. As everybody already said this one wasn't bad, but it didn't really wow me either.

OK, so I disagree with everyone else, what else is new today? I loved it, thought it captured the spirit of caricatureness in its true form. I would have wondered about Jessica Rabbit and don't appreciate Tex Avery, so I'm probably biased. :-) Let the hero die again! We just bring him back cause otherwise we have to think up a new hero with new powers or skills. It's the american way!

ABC- Love the original song, but this was a little off for me too, nice work nonetheless!

(ABC K/L) I found nothing wrong with this parody. As a matter of fact, that was great parody you wrote! Yeah, I kept on wondering what it's like to be in a cartoon, or a comic book. Got me thinking about video games like Comix Zone for Genesis, Looney Tunes, Anime, X-Men, well you know the rest. A Marvel-ous ditty! Sketching and coloring some animated 555's!

BAD - Your car needs no toon up. Fine job here.

(ABC K & L) Not the best Below Average Dave work I've read, but it's no George Hamlinton IV, Taz Mokracek or TSB, either. 4-5-5.

(ABC-KL) Interesting idea for a parody, but I think it would've been a lot funnier if it was about a "crazy" cartoon like Road Runner or something, like Matthias said. And I don't what happened to the pacing here, usually you're top notch in this regard, what happened? Ah well, everyone has their bad days, I guess. 444
