Parody Song Title:

"Don't Peek(*Digitally Re-mastered version)"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

* "Digitally Re-mastered" in this case means I changed some of my original parody lyrics and typed them in - with my finger digits...My original version of this parody was posted here on 12/06/2003, when I had been posting here for about a month. My first version did not continue all the way out through the lengthy final chorus parts to the end fade, but the revised version does. ** l have also added some lyrics in an instrumental part of the song that were not in my original posting.
Look at me
I used to weigh a feather
You liked me in leatheralways

But now I feel
that it's all in my rear end
I'm not especially
fond of this trend

It looks as though, I've just let go
and since I have
I don't want you to know

Don't peek
Don't ask what I'm weighing
water I'm retaining
I'll have to wear full skirts

Don't peek
the clothes I own aren't fitting
I'm eating too much pizza
I'll have to wear loose shirts

Those calories
they can be so fattening
and I find dieting
is altogether maddening

As we dine, I think of fries
got more bread in my hands
I want some pie

Don't peek
and don't ask what I'm weighing
I can't stop complaining
I'm packing too much girth

Don't peek
how I look's not flattering
and I can't get these jeans on
they fit so tight it hurts

When I'm bending
you'll see that I'm expanding, out too far

~ ~ ~ (Instrumental break) ~ ~ ~

~ ~ [** the next 3 lines sung lightly within flow of instrumental parts] ~ ~

{Please pass the gravy, dear}

{Some more of these, please}

{This cake is great}

Look at me
I will soon be dieting.join me

Don't peek
and don't ask what I'm weighing
water I'm retaining
I'll have to wear full skirts

Don't peek
the clothes I own aren't fitting
I've eaten too much pizza
The guys now, they don't flirt
I'll buy some pleated skirts

I can't stop expanding
now my girdle's straining
too tight
it bites
not right

No
I know what you're thinking
No, I can't get these jeans on

They do not fit
don't like this sh*t
no, not one bit

Oh, I'm much too fat
yes, I am too fat
Phew
Eew
Too Fat

(Don't look, darling)
(Don't you look, darling)
(Don't look)

I know that I'm too fat

(No, no)
(Don't look, darling)
(Don't you look, darling)
(Don't look)

Yes, I am way too fat...

(Don't look, darling...)

~ ~ ~ {fade} ~ ~ ~
If you've ever had a 'significant other' who always thought they were too fat....even when they were not, then you will surely relate to this piece...and recognize the "No-Win" situation, too...

Well done, Paul. I never saw the first posting but, this one was great....555

Thanks, Rick C...yeah, the first posting was back in dec., 2003...it wasn't bad, really, but I was pretty new at this and didn't write lyrics for the lengthy section of choruses that cover the last minute + of the Original Song. Since I wanted to record a voice-overlay version I really needed to write them anyway. I remember being a bit overwhelmed at that prospect back in '03...found it fun now...

This is funny as I can't see Gwen singing the parody here ( plus, the content by itself is funny ). All 5s. I have one you might like ( or not ) from a few days ago:

Red - you can't picture a plump Gwen Stefani singing this one? Oh, man, when I was singing the over-lay to it that was the ONLY thing that really came to mind...since I was hearing her voice from the original track at the same time...it makes a HILARIOUS image...could happen someday, you know...it would be kind of a shame, though...but that's more "Fats Domino" territory...Hey...I did one by him today, too...I wonder...maybe some sort of 'hybrid' parody...???

Well, usually my imagination is pretty good Paul, but no, I can't picture a "plump" Gwen singing this unless the definition of "plump" is changed. I spent several minutes contemplating what Gwen would look like if "plump" and drew blanks. The fact that "Hollaback Girl" is still torturing my head has drawn my imagination elsewhere I suppose..........

Red - Well, let's see...there was a slender blonde actress who played a "Fat" part recently...with tons of "special" make-up and pads...who was...OH...wasn't it Gwynneth Paltrow?? mmaybe...?? Not sure...but anyway, THAT'S how I pictured Gwen Stefani it she were fat. Of course, there's also the "Buttman" family (I think) from "In Living Colors" a few years back...I think it was that show...but what do I know anymore? Thanks!

Oh, I can imagine her like that. Gwen did so much better with No Doubt. I miss their ska days.... Anyway, this got a 555 from me. Great parody

Dominic - Agree with you about Gwen being much, much better with No Doubt...hmmm...can't help myself here, but I have to say there is just No Doubt about that...oh, well...I also miss their ska days...that was fun music - and extremely well done, too...Thanks for stopping by...
