The Lyrics

I was towin' my craft behind my rusty Winnebago home
Heard the honk of a semi passin' by, my canvas cover blown
Hit the brakes on my Winnebago, wracked, as he pulled aside
The driver peeked out from his cab and then he nettled all my pride
He asked me if I'd seen the boats with monikers so grand
And I said, "Listen, I've spotted every boat along the strand!"

I've seen every boat, man
I've seen all afloat, man
Yachts of men of note, man
I've seen the proud that gloat, man
Their handles, I often quote, man
I've seen every boat

I've seen the:
Miss Cue, Miss Construed, Miss Do, Miss Direction
Miss Behave, Miss Arranged, Miss Laid, Miss Conception
Miss Feasance, Miss Plead, Miss Leading, Miss Adventure
Miss Ease, Miss Belief, Miss Esteem, Miss Remember
Miss Read, Miss Treatment, Miss Dealer, Miss Anthropic
Miss Sology, Miss Begotten and Miss Conduct, sail the tropics

I've seen every ship, man
I've seen some adrift, man
Tossed when wind gets brisk, man
I've seen the bows that twist, man
Their handles are funny quips, man
I've seen every ship

I've seen the:
Miss Fit, Miss Print, Miss Spent, Miss Appropriate
Miss Managed, Miss Hap, Miss Chance, Miss Estimate
Miss Placement, Miss Statement, Miss Taken, Miss Sogamy
Miss Taught, Miss Call, Miss Valued, Miss Sogyny
Miss Reckon and Miss Spoken, Miss Govern, Miss Bestowed
Miss Timed, Miss Trial, Miss Applied, never towed

I've seen every craft, man
I've seen some with masts, man
Costly vessels staffed, man
I've heard them shout, "Avast!", man
Their handles are somewhat daft, man
I've seen every craft

I've seen the:
Miss Chievous, Miss Step, Miss Tress, Miss Quotation
Miss Pickel, Miss Giving, Miss Prision, Miss Construction
Miss Date, Miss Mate, Miss Shapen, Miss Deed
Miss Nomer, Miss Colored, Miss Joinder, Miss Creant
Miss Carriage, Miss Usage, Miss Alliance, Miss Cegenation
Miss Demeanor, Miss Cellany, rejuvenation

I've seen every ketch, man
I've seen some get wrecked, man
Swabs on every deck, man
I've seen the soused that retch, man
Their handles are epithets, man
I've seen every ketch

I've seen the:
Miss Liked, Miss Guidance, Miss Derived, Miss Apprehend
Miss Fortune, Miss Fire, Miss Prized, Miss Represent
Miss Pronounce, Miss Count, Miss Employed, Miss Understand
Miss Match, Miss Translate, Miss Handled, Miss Interpret
Miss Trustful, Miss Judgment, Miss Calculate, Miss Description
Miss Informed, Miss Report, Miss Spelling, all are fitting

I've seen every boat, man
I've seen all afloat, man
Yachts of men of note, man
I've seen the proud that gloat, man
Their handles, I often quote, man
I've seen every boat

I've......................
......seen................
............every.........
...................boat...

I liked it. 555! As a rule, boats are named female names and warships are named male names. Yachts and cruise ships can be named either by gender or description. Think Hitler's Aviso Grille and the Titanic!

Thanks all!

Dr Giorgio Coniglio dec: It was a long time ago, but mostly on rivers and small lakes in the Midwest. I had a couple of water skiing boats and a 21 foot Venture sailboat (none of which were named). My favorite places were Sister Bay off Green Bay (off Lake Michigan) and Table Rock Lake which is on the border of Missouri and Arkansas. I learned to water ski (a friend's boat) at a small harbor off Lake Superior, where the water temperature never gets above 45 degrees F. You didn't dare fall.
